Shirakawago, with its stunning Gassho-style thatched-roof houses, is a UNESCO World Heritage site that captivates visitors with its beauty. Recognized in 1976 for its cultural significance, it offers a glimpse into Japan's rural life and traditions. Surrounded by scenic landscapes, it attracts tourists from overseas. Shirakawago, which showcases Japan's changing seasons, retains a fantastical beauty of the countryside. Please enjoy the scenery that cannot be experienced in Tokyo Osaka, or Kyoto.

Hello,
I'm Yoji, based in Kanazawa.
I spent my formative years in Kanazawa and pursued my master's degree in the United States. Having lived in Washington D.C. and California for six years, I then resided and worked in China and various Southeast Asian countries. My passion lies in exploring new destinations and connecting with people worldwide. Now, it's my turn to extend the same hospitality I've received to you. I specialize in crafting personalized tours tailored to your interests and preferences. If you're a food enthusiast, you've come to the right place. For those seeking to delve into Japan's rich history and culture, I highly recommend joining my full-day tour in Kanazawa. Additionally, I offer tours to Shirakawago and Takayama. Let's embark on an unforgettable journey together.

“The quintessential tour guide.”
Yoji is kind, personable, reliable, knowledgeable. This being my first visit to Japan, a visit to relatively remote Shirakawago, Suganuma and Ainokura inspired some trepidation for me. Commencing with the planning phase, with his quick response to request, flexibility to adapt the schedule, through his punctuality on the day of trip, through his willingness to make an addition to the itinerary on the day of the trip. His professionalism , dependability and kindness made for an outstanding experience for me. If a six star rating was possible , this would be one of those. Thank you Yoji!!

Thank you very much for such a great review! I had a great time with you yesterday. I enjoyed talking with you and knowing your perspective how you see Japan. I hope you enjoyed the day with me. Lucky that we could see some cherry blossoms during our days. Enjoy the rest of your trip in Japan!

“Top rate tours and guide”
Yoji was a fantastic guide. He was knowledgeable, accomadating, and easy to work with. In the few days we were guided by Yoji, we were able to see the sites of Osaka, Nara and Himeji. We saw things and experienced things we would not otherwise have done had we not been with Yoji. His English is exceptional and his suggestions were spot on. He is very understanding of each groups wants and needs and works hard to make sure you are happy. We had a fantastic time with Yoji. His easy going and fun personality fit us perfectly and we made the best memories with not only a great guide but a new friend. Arigato Yoji!

“Excellent Trip”
The trip with Yoji San is incredible from start to finish. He knows the area very well, has excellent driving skills, and goes the extra mile as a guide to customize the experience to your wishes and availability. He also knows great places to eat, which also adds to the experience. If you want, in addition to a great adventure, you'll have a good friendship with Yoji San. Highly recommended.
