“A Must-Do Experience in Kanazawa with Megumi”

Megumi deserves 5 stars without hesitation. Although she was officially already fully booked when we contacted her, she still made it happen for us and kindly arranged a wonderful 3-hour tour starting at 7:30, which we greatly appreciated. Throughout the tour, we could truly feel how much Megumi loves Kanazawa and how proud she is of her city. She is clearly deeply devoted to her work as a guide, and that passion came through in every explanation, making the experience even more authentic and memorable. We especially appreciated her fascinating insights into the true history of the geisha tradition, as well as Kanazawa’s samurai heritage. She was warm, professional, and extremely knowledgeable, and she brought the city to life in a remarkable way. After benefiting from her guidance and historical knowledge, we truly feel that this tour is a real must for anyone visiting Japan. Kanazawa and Kyoto, together with the legacy of Edo-period Tokyo, are essential to understanding Japan’s historical and cultural heritage, and Megumi helped us appreciate that in a rich and meaningful way. Thanks to Megumi, our visit to Kanazawa was far more enriching than we could have imagined. We are sincerely grateful for her kindness, flexibility, and commitment, and we recommend her wholeheartedly.
