Hidden Christians Tour in Amakusa (full-day tour by my car)

Dating back to the 16th century, these sites reveal the enduring legacy of Catholicism despite a 17th-century ban. Explore churches and museums that chronicle over 250 years of clandestine faith, offering a profound glimpse into the resilience and stories of Amakusa's Hidden Christians.
This tour will be conducted in my car for your convenience.
Meeting Point
Your hotel in Hondo Area or Hondo Bus Center. I will pick you up with my car Honda fit.

Amakusa Christian Museums
Learning the history about Hidden Christian in Japan and Amakusa.
Roadside Station Miyajidake Kakashi no Mura
Roadside station ( Michino-eki), which used to be a local elementary school. Scarcawes representing local and traditional events will welcome you. You can also have lunch (850 ~1300 JPY)
Collegio Museum
Museums for the time when Christianity flourished in Amakusa.
Sakitsu Village
A site of World Heritage. Walking at the local fishery village and visiting Sakitsu Church, Saktisu Shrine and Minatoya Museum. You can have lunch here. There are authentic sushi restaurants, Italian restaurants, and Champon noodle restaurants.
Oe Church
The Church was built in the Oe area, where also have many hidden Christians lived. You will see how much Father. Garnier was loved by local people.
Rosary Museum
The museum focuses on the time of the ban on Christianity.

Tour Important Information
* You have some options for lunch. Please let me know in advance if you have any food allergies or other dietary restrictions.
*Vehicle is my Honda Fit. This is a Subcompact car (B) class, and some might feel uncomfortable sitting in the rear seat with three adults. In that case, I can use a car rental for a bigger size car, so please let me know before the booking.
