All 10 statues in one tour.
All your favorite ONE PIECE characters are in Kumamoto. As part of a collaboration with Eiichiro Oda, author of ONE PIECE born and raised in Kumamoto City, a total of 10 statues of the Straw Hat Pirates of ONE PIECE have been installed throughout Kumamoto Prefecture. The One Piece statues are part of a larger project to help Kumamoto recover after the 2016 earthquakes and are being built thanks to the cooperation of and extremely generous donation from Mr. Oda.

I’ll take you to all 10 statues in our tour. Others will offer 8. Some have tried to do it on their own with buses and trains. Is it possible? sure, if you have 3 days to spare. I can do that for you in 8 hours.
It’s very important that you inform me of any food allergies you may have. This way, I can make sure to notify the restaurant staff and ensure your safety and comfort.
Hello! I'm Steve and I’m originally from Sydney, Australia, but I’ve lived in Kumamoto City for the past 28 years. I hold a Gold license. I’d love to take you on a tour of some of the region’s most historic and stunning sites. I took my profile picture on the balcony of my home, which sits high on a hill, offering great views of the city both day and night, with majestic mountain ranges in the distance.
I was a school teacher here for 25 years, starting in Japanese public schools before transitioning to an American institution.
I understand that when traveling abroad, many people prefer a local tour guide. While I wasn’t born in Japan, after nearly three decades here, I consider myself as local as it gets! Not only can I share insights about the local culture, but I can also offer a unique perspective as a foreigner who has grown to love this country as my own.
With our comfortable 4x4 full leather interior SUV, we’ll explore hidden gems that typical tour buses can’t reach, making your experience even more special.
On our way to the sites, I’ll describe anything that catches your eye so you don’t miss a thing. I know that returning back from a great trip can feel like the end of something special, so if there’s anything I can do to make the ride more enjoyable, just let me know. On the way back, feel free to play any music you like on the BOSE sound system in the car.

“A great visit to Mt. Aso”
Steve's was very knowledgeable about the area and knew of a couple less crowded spots to take in the scenery. It was a nice day on the mountain when I went and I was able to get a hike in. He was also flexible about the tour, allowing it to be adjusted on the fly if I found something along the way I wanted to see instead. I will definitely consider him again if I make it back to Kyushu.

“An amazing adventure in Kumamoto”
Steve was, by far, the best guide I could ever have. We did the tour for about 8,5 hours (which seemed a lot, but felt like nothing). We started going straight to Jinbe's statue. Since it was early in the morning, the store where I could buy the mini figure wasn't open yet. But Steve was one step ahead and already had one statue for me in the trunk of the car. During the drive from statue to statue, Steve talked about the curiosities of Kumamoto, and gave us some info about the tragic earthquakes from 2016. The second statue was Brook, another one with the store unavailable (the store doesn't open on some days of the week). Steve, once again, had a statue to sell me. Later, we went to Sanji's, then Nami's. Both stops were terrific, but Nami's was absolutely amazing. Later, we went to Franky's, and then we made our way to Robin's statue. This one is the most impressive of them all. It is the one where you really understand the meaning of having those statues around Kumamoto. For the final part of the journey, we went to Usopp's, Zoro's, Chopper's, and Luffy's statues. Getting to the captain as the final stop felt both amazing and sad at the same time. We were amazed by the journey and having our captain say farewell, but we were also unhappy because it meant it was the end. Steve made this journey pleasant. Besides driving the whole time, he also took some fantastic pictures of us at the stops. He helped get the statues (talking in Japanese with the people around) and managed to drop us in the best spot possible at each statue. If you're still wondering if you should do this tour with Steve, hear me out: The guy is the best. Just go for it and enjoy this fantastic day.

Hey hey my Brazilian friend! Thank you so much for your kind words. You were both great guests. It was my first time to have YouTubers on a tour. It was a great experience!. I’ll be going to your country as well, so please show me around, as you know, I’d love a food tour!

“A great tour of Kumamoto's scenic highlights”
We had a wonderful day with Steve at Mount Aso and the surrounding area. He drove us punctually and reliably from one scenic highlight to the next, telling us interesting things about life in Kumamoto along the way. Thank you very much and all the best! Eva and Klaus
