Meeting Point
Takeo-onsen station
- It takes about 1 hour from Fukuoka to the station by Express train. After meeting and greeting, we go to first site by my own car. Of course, we can meet other place. Please feel free to talk about it.
Kyushu ceramic art museum
The museum was established with the objective of collecting, preserving and exhibiting historically, artistically and industrially important materials relating to ceramics from all over Kyushu, as well as conducting research and educational activities, in order to contribute to the preservation of cultural heritage and the development of ceramic art culture.
lunch Time: Gallery Arita
Gallery Arita, located in Arita Town, Saga Prefecture, is a shop unique to Arita, the birthplace of Japanese porcelain. You can enjoy dining and shopping surrounded by over 2,500 coffee cups from the Hizen ceramics region, mainly Arita ware. We offer a full menu, from meals using local ingredients to sweets and drinks.

It is a landmark where all the works of Fukagawa style from the works by the first generation of Fukagawa Porcelain, Chuji Fukagawa, to the modern works that inherit the style, are gathered in one place. It is a gallery standing on a hill on the premises surrounded by greenery. The large pot that was awarded the gold medal at the one thousand nine hundred Paris World Exposition, which had been in the main reference building as a secluded treasure for almost one hundred years, was also opened to the public on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of "China on the Park". The works from the beginning of the company to the latest works are exhibited in the same space. Of course, you can purchase the products in the gallery.
Outlet shop;
This is directly managed by a Fukagawa Porcelain factory. It is known among fans as a treasure house where excavated items lie. In addition to discontinued and non-standard items, we collect "leftovers", which are only a part of the set products, and offer them to porcelain lovers at special prices.
Takeo onsen, or shrine
Takeo Onsen and Takeo Shrine, located in Saga Prefecture, Japan, offer a blend of relaxation and cultural heritage. Takeo Onsen, with a history spanning over 1,300 years, is renowned for its therapeutic waters and beautiful, traditional bathhouses, including the iconic red-lacquered tower gate designed by Kingo Tatsuno. Nearby, Takeo Shrine, established over 1,200 years ago, is dedicated to the deity Ōnamuchi-no-Mikoto. The shrine is famous for its sacred 3,000-year-old camphor tree, one of Japan's largest. Together, these sites provide a serene and culturally enriching experience for visitors.
Mifuneyama Rakuen Japanese Garden
Mifuneyama Rakuen, located in Saga Prefecture, Japan, is a scenic park known for its natural beauty and seasonal displays. Established in 1845, it features expansive gardens, a large pond, and the impressive Mifuneyama mountain backdrop. The park is renowned for its cherry blossoms in spring and vibrant autumn foliage. It also hosts the "TeamLab: A Forest Where Gods Live" digital art exhibit, blending nature and technology. Mifuneyama Rakuen offers a serene environment and stunning views, making it a popular spot for nature enthusiasts and art lovers alike.

My mother and I are very happy with the service that Mr Katsu has provided. It was a very pleasant journey in Nagasaki. He is attentive, patient and helpful. He has even asked what songs that we would like to listen so he can download before the trip for us. Katsu gave us a wonderful and personal day in Nagasaki. He planned everything as I had asked and was always looking out for our comfort. We saw so much and had an amazing lunch in a tiny restaurant we would never have found on our own. Katsu is very caring and knowledgeable and I would highly recommend touring with him.

Our guide Katsuhiro picked us up from the cruise terminal on time with gift in hand. Great feeling being welcomed this way. He was very accommodating for my 91 year old father and wheelchair.
