Mt. Fuji in Fujinomiya and Shiraito watefalls
Mt. Fuji can be seen from Tokyo, but if you feel the real size and its atmosphere as well as the value, you should definitely visit this area.
I am mainly guiding for the cruise ship passengers for shore excursion, but it is possible to pick you up at a JR station (Shizuoka and Shin-Fuji).

Meeting Point
Shimizu port or JR station (Shizuoka or Shin-Fuji)
- I can pick you up in Shimizu port or at the exit of SHINKANSEN gate of JR station.
Shiraito Water Falls
As there is no river on Mt. Fuji, water from the mountain comes out at lakes, ponds, or waterfalls as natural spring water. "Shiraito" literally means "white thread". The water comes out from the wall directly from Mt. Fuji 30 years after it falls on the mountain. 100 meter wide clear water falls will cleanse your body as well as sprits.
Lake Tanuki
On the fine day, Mt. Fuji is reflected on this lake clearly. Although it is a small lake, the atmosphere is very quiet.
Fuji Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine
For pilgrims who climb Mt. Fuji, this shrine is the starting point. They bathe in Wakutama pond which is made up of the natural spring water from Mt. Fuji, and start climbing Mt. Fuji.
Mt. Fuji World Heritage Center
At this center, you will know how import Mt. Fuji is for Japanese people and watch 3 wonderful videos featuring Mt. Fuji. Inside the building, you can see the descriptions or articles concerning Mt. Fuji. The building of the center is very unique so that it can reflect on the pond in front of the building, it looks like another Mt. Fuji.
Ending Point
Shimizu port or JR station (Shizuoka or Shin-Fuji)

“Great tour with Yashiro (Motchee)”
We had an outstanding 6.5‑hour tour with Motchee in Shimizu, and it became one of the highlights of our trip. He picked us up right on time at the port and drove us safely and comfortably to all major sights in the region. Throughout the day, Motchee impressed us with his deep knowledge of the area, his very clear English, and his remarkable patience. We visited all the key spots — Miho‑no‑Matsubara, Nihondaira, the Kunōzan Tōshōgū Shrine, and the local fish market — and at every stop he shared fascinating background information and cultural insights. He also knew exactly where to find the best photo spots, which made the experience even more memorable. The communication before, during, and after the tour was excellent, and we always felt well taken care of. For small groups who want a personal, informative, and smoothly organized experience in Shimizu, Motchee is the perfect guide. A clear 5‑Star recommendation.

“Some days stay with you… this was one of them.”
Some days stay with you… this was one of them. Yasuhiro was already there waiting for us — with a kindness that feels rare, and a beautiful, heartwarming gift prepared by his family. Such a small gesture, yet it set the tone for everything that followed. What we appreciated most was the way he guided us — thoughtful, insightful, and very natural. He shared things gradually, always keeping it engaging, with a particularly deep knowledge of the local vegetation. And somehow… he even managed to “arrange” the clouds just in time, so we wouldn’t miss that first, breathtaking glimpse of Mount Fuji. Cherry blossoms framed the day in full bloom, quietly reminding us how fleeting and beautiful everything is.

Hakone, enjoy the wonderful natural beauty and fine museums!
Hakone is one of the national parks of Japan, which is less than 100 miles away from Tokyo. So, Hakone is one of the most popular destinations for a lot of foreign travelers. Since it has been very popular among Japanese people, it has become much busier and more crowded than before. Yet, it is absolutely the king of resort place for a lot of travelers.
Hakone, enjoy the wonderful natural beauty and fine museums!
