Nihondaira plateau
From the roof floor of YUME terrace, you can see fine view of Mt. Fuji together with the Pacific Ocean and surrounding mountains. This view is counted as one of the best scenery of Japan.
Toshogu shrine
There are more than 100 Toshogu shrines in Japan including the famous NIKKO Toshogu shrine, this Toshogu is the original and other Toshogu shrines are made similar to this shrine. On top of the mountain, there is a mausoleum of the First Tokugawa Shogun Ieyasu. This is one of the national treasures of Japan and was adored by a lot of SAMURAI warriors. There is no grave or grave yard in SHINTO shrine, but this is the place the First Shogun is buried. So on top of the mountain, there is a big stone curved grave for him and still observe people's life from there.
Miho beach with 3,000 pine trees grove
This beach is also counted as sacred place in this district. The combination of Pine tree grove, the ocean, and Mt. Fuji has been viewed as the perfect scenery for Japanese people since long time ago. There is also a legendary story of a celestial maidan who came down to this beach and bathed. There is also a traditional Japanese NOH dance held on the beach lit by fire brands in summer.
Ending Point
Shimizu port or JR Shizuoka station

“Voyage au Mont Fuji (existe-t-il vraiment ? ;))”

Yasuhiro M.
Hi Jessica, Thank you for your review and let me say about the weather conditions around Mt. Fuji. It’s more difficult to see the mountain in summer than in winter, because the vapor from the ocean comes out in the air in the south side of the mountain but we sometimes see it on the north side, because it is cooler than the south side. I am not dishonest nor told you a lie. We rarely see it shortly in the cloud in the evening. I hope you would understand these occasions and hopefully come back to Shimizu in late autumn or in winter, when we have more chances to see the mountain clearly. Regards, Yasuhiro Mochizuki

Mt. Fuji in Fujinomiya and Shiraito watefalls
Mt. Fuji can be seen from Tokyo, but if you feel the real size and its atmosphere as well as the value, you should definitely visit this area. I am mainly guiding for the cruise ship passengers for shore excursion, but it is possible to pick you up at a JR station (Shizuoka and Shin-Fuji).

Hakone, enjoy the wonderful natural beauty and fine museums!
Hakone is one of the national parks of Japan, which is less than 100 miles away from Tokyo. So, Hakone is one of the most popular destinations for a lot of foreign travelers. Since it has been very popular among Japanese people, it has become much busier and more crowded than before. Yet, it is absolutely the king of resort place for a lot of travelers.
