Hi, I’m Yacco, a friendly and passionate local guide. I was born and raised in Shizuoka and have lived in Yokohama for over 30 years. For the past several years, I’ve been guiding international visitors in Kamakura, Yokohama, and Tokyo as a volunteer, helping them discover the rich history, culture, and hidden charm of these unique cities. Traveling abroad creates once-in-a-lifetime memories, and I would love for you to fully experience the beauty and spirit of my favorite towns. I not only enjoy showing historical and modern landmarks, but also love introducing quiet backstreets, seasonal flowers, cozy cafés, and delicious local food that reflect the charm of everyday life. What I enjoy most is comparing Japanese traditions with my guests’ own cultures and histories—these conversations often lead to deep and inspiring exchanges. As your guide, I’m happy to customize tours based on your interests, whether you’re seeking unique experiences, historical insights, or local flavors. Let’s walk, talk, and create unforgettable memories together!

Hi, I am Emiko, Hiroshima Prefectural Government Licensed Guide Interpreter. I was born and raised in Hiroshima, and I love sharing the history, culture, and everyday life of this beautiful region with visitors from around the world. As the child of an A-bomb survivor, Hiroshima's history is deeply personal to me. I believe that sharing its story of tragedy, resilience, and hope for peace is at the heart of my guiding. In addition to Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park and Museum, I also enjoy introducing visitors to the beauty of Miyajima, Hiroshima Castle, Shukkein Garden, and other local treasures. I tailor each tour to your interests, whether history, culture, food, or daily life. I always hope that our guests will take away lots of positive energy from Hiroshima, a city that was resilient and revived like a phoenix, in spite of its sad history. While realizing customers' wishes, I will introduce you the beauty of Hiroshima, Miyajima and so on, which are tranquil and peaceful places with a unique charm that cannot be found in big cities. I am happy to answer any questions about things Japanese. I'll do everything to the best of my ability to make your trip enjoyable and fruitful. Hello! My name is Yoshiko. I am a national licensed guide‑interpreter in English and Chinese, and I also speak a little French. I live in Azumino City in Nagano Prefecture, a place known for its stunning views of the Northern Japan Alps, peaceful rural scenery, and crystal‑clear spring water. Earlier in my career, I worked as a tax consultant and spent time living in England and China. Captivated by Azumino’s natural beauty and relaxed atmosphere, I eventually relocated here from Tokyo. I would love to show you Azumino’s most beautiful and fascinating places, and introduce you to its culture, history, and local specialties. I am flexible with tour plans, so please feel free to share your interests and requests. I look forward to welcoming you and guiding you through Azumino and the surrounding region.

Hello and welcome! I have been living in Kamakura for about seven years, just a short five-minute walk from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. I truly love this city for its unique combination of historic temples, peaceful nature, and traditional streets. One of my favorite hobbies is walking around Kamakura with my camera and capturing everyday scenes of the town. I enjoy discovering small streets, quiet temples, and scenic viewpoints. I use a Sony α7CII camera and enjoy helping visitors capture beautiful and memorable photos of their trip. I also run twice a week in the morning, often along Kamakura’s hiking trails or by Yuigahama Beach. Because of this, I am very familiar with many walking routes and hidden paths in the area. If you enjoy nature, hiking, or longer walks, I would be happy to guide you through some of Kamakura’s beautiful spots. I graduated from a university in the United States and continue to use English regularly in my work and through international exchange events. I enjoy meeting people from different cultures and sharing the charm of Kamakura in English. During our tour, I hope to show you not only famous places such as the Great Buddha and Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, but also the relaxing atmosphere, nature, and everyday beauty of Kamakura. I would also be happy to help you take great photos so you can bring home wonderful memories of your trip. I look forward to exploring Kamakura together with you!

Hello, I am a retired captain of a commuter airline, with over 40 years of experience and over 22,400 flight hours focused on providing safe and comfortable travel. I have had the opportunity to visit various countries, including Japan, the United States, China, Taiwan, South Korea, and the Philippines. After retiring, I worked as a volunteer guide for city walks in Kagoshima for eight years and obtained my certification as a certified guide for the World Heritage Sites in Kagoshima Prefecture. The joy of traveling overseas is getting to know different cultures, languages, and the unique lifestyles and food cultures of the people. However, what is most valuable to me are the memories made meeting people during travels. During my career, I focused on safely and comfortably transporting passengers. Today, I aim to continue a job that brings travelers fun and memorable experiences. I am committed to being a reliable guide for everyone and providing memorable trips.

Hallo zusammen!

I grew up in the UK, and have lived more than ten years in the UK and USA on overseas assignments. While I lived abroad, I started to realize how shallow my knowledge on Japanese culture, beliefs, history and food was for a Japanese resident, whenever I tried to respond to the questions my foreign friends had about Japan. For the last 20 years I’ve been doing a lot of domestic travel visiting areas that I’ve never been before, and studying history and culture, as well as enjoying Sake from all parts of Japan. From 2015, I intensified my studies of Japan, and in 2017, successfully received government certification as a qualified guide on Japan. Thinking it would help my studies as well as be beneficial for visitors to Japan, I opened a website titled “Rediscovering Japan” in 2016 to record my travels and share my experience with travelers to Japan. To date I have covered 25 of the 47 prefectures in Japan. I have found that rather than just visiting tourist spots at random, it is much more interesting if you have a clear theme of the places you are going to. I hope you'll enjoy the visits with me to rediscover Japan!

Originally from Canada, I've been living in Japan for 35 years, most of that in Miyazaki. I speak the language and I know the area better than most locals. In Miyazaki, there is a lack of public transport so I'd be happy to drive you to places like Aoshima (a beautiful beach and surfing hub), Udo Jingu (a unique seaside shrine), the samurai and merchant residences of Obi, and introduce you to the best spots for local food, shopping, or nightlife. The volcanic highlands of Ebino and Kirishima are accessible from Miyazaki, as is Takachiho, the center of Japanese mythology with its famous gorge. I know them all well and I’d like to share that knowledge, the wonderful scenery, indeed the whole Miyazaki experience, with you.

Please refer to the map I uploaded on gallery to check the sites you are interested in. Also my blogs will help your understanding both areas - "The location difference of Mt.Fuji (Fuji Five Lakes) and Hakone".
