The Meteorological Agency declared that the rainy season had ended in late June, but it often rains so heavily throughout Japan. After the heavy rain the scorching hot days attack us. In spite of this pitiless weather some flowers are blooming beautifully and charmingly in Makino Botanical Garden. In this blog I’ll introduce these kinds of flowers in July.
Hamabou
This is wild Hibiscus which is native to Japan. Yellow and beautiful flowers bloom in the morning and wilt in the evening. They are at their best only in one day.
Takiyuri
This is a kind of lily. The flower is hanging down. It is an endangered species. Seybold admired the charm of the beautiful flower which is native to Japan.
Tsubomigiboushi
These flowers are blooming in this picture, but they look like buds. The first part of the name, Tsubomi means buds in Japanese.
