“Wonderful guide to Kochi”

Tomoko We contacted Tomoko to guide us around Kōchi. We wanted to visit this city to see Makino Botanical Garden and some temples and shrines. Tomoko was very well organized. She had detailed schedules of the various means of transportation that we used including walking, taxis and buses. She kept us on our schedule so that we were able to see the sites we were most interested in. Although we went to the Makino Botanical Garden in late October we were delighted to find some plants in bloom. There were many things to see - too many for a short visit - and we would like to spend more time there the next time we visit. We also visited a beautiful Shinto shrine on a promontory at the end of Katsurahama beach and another in town. At the end of our tour she guided us to Hirome Market. She explained how the market worked. We quickly found some delicious things to eat. I particularly wanted to try katsuo on tataki, bonito grilled over straw. I spotted a fellow walking by towards a table with exactly that. My wife was able to ask him where he bought it. He walked me over to the shop and I returned soon afterwards with a splendid serving of grilled tuna. We highly recommend Tomoko as a guide!

“Great Day in Kochi”

We had an excellent tour with Hideo in Kochi. We were able to visit and Kochi Castle, Katsurahama beach and the overlook, lunch, the Makino botanical garden and the Godaisan Chikurinji temple and were ahead of the ship’s tours the entire time! He was very prompt in his responses to email and was early to our meeting time. We learned a lot and enjoyed our tour!

I'm very happy to receive your excellent review. Yes, we could start the tour earlier than the group bus tour, so we could smoothly travel to all the scenic spots. We enjoyed visiting Kochi Catsle. From the top floor of the main tower, we could command a panoramic view of Kochi city. We had delicious ramen and set menu with bonito for lunch. I hope you enjoy Japan trip.

We visited Kochi castle, Makino botanical Garden and Chikurinji Temple. We saw the beautiful 5-story pagoda at Chikurinji Temple on a sunny day. I hope you enjoy Japan trip.
