“A memorable day in Fukushima!”
Our tour with Go Ezaki was amazing! He kindly adapted the itinerary, swapping the Super Zero Mill for a charming baumkuhen shop, where we enjoyed delicious low-sugar sweets made with locally grown rice — a unique and tasty experience. We also stopped to take photos at Futaba’s famous murals by local artists, visited the school heavily impacted by the tsunami, and had a delicious local lunch in Namie. To top it off, we ended the day with the breathtaking view of Iwaki’s coastline and its nori that has been there for over 40 years. It was a long day but perfectly organized. We made it back to the train to Tokyo on time, and Go was an outstanding guide — detailed, attentive, a great photographer, and full of fascinating insights about Fukushima and Japan. Highly recommended!

“Great (customized) version of this trip with Go”
Go was very friendly, went out of his way to fit in with our needs (tweaking the itinerary and even borrowing a bigger car), and was a mine of detailed information on the complexities of the Fukushima response after 2011 to Japanese politics, the local population decline, and the economy. A fascinating day with a particular highlight being the visit to the the The Great East Japan Earthquake and Nuclear Disaster Memorial Museum in Futaba. A unique (and completely safe) experience we'd strongly recommend.

“An Unforgettable Tour with Exceptional Guidance”
We recently had the pleasure of joining a customized tour arranged by Ms Nobuko, and we were very happy about it! The entire experience was thoughtfully planned from the very beginning: not only did she provide an engaging and informative experience, but also supported us with arranging taxis, luggage storage and train schedule. The historical knowledge we gained during the tour was exceptional. From learning about samurai history to the breathtaking snowy scenery at Ouchi-juku, every moment felt enriching. The balance between outdoor and indoor activities was perfect, especially given the cold weather. Painting lacquerware and creating colorful akabeko crafts were unique, hands-on experiences that left us with wonderful memories and souvenirs to cherish. Ms Nobuko’s warmth, professionalism and deep understanding of the region made the tour truly special. She was attentive to every detail and tailored the itinerary to suit our preferences, making us feel both comfortable and inspired throughout. If you’re looking for a guide who is not only knowledgeable but also incredibly kind and thoughtful, Ms Nobuko is the perfect choice. We wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to explore the history, beauty and culture of Fukushima Prefecture.
