My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of working with Miko for 3 days in Kyoto and Nara. She is a master of all the things you think about when preparing for a tour, mastery of the subject matter, flexible with scheduling, great communication, adaptable to the group and able to coordinate for the group’s needs. She is all of these things to be sure but mostly we found here to be genuine, kind and very easy to be talk with and learn from. Her knowledge of the local area and specific history both cultural and historic is excellent. If you’re looking for an English speaking guide she not only speaks excellent English, she teaches English in the local schools. I would absolutely recommend Miko for your tour in Kyoto, Nara area. We feel like we made a new friend and very much look forward to connecting again!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I was truly touched by warm personalities of you and Karin, and it was hard to say goodbye on the last day of the tour. Your travel style, which values experiencing the local traditional culture, nature, and history hands-on, is truly wonderful. I'll never forget these three days spent with you—such as the homey, delicious lunch at the café that felt like visiting grandma's house or cautiously climbing the five-story pagoda and being moved by its solid framework. “A day out in historic Nara ”

Our day started with Hiroshi kindly picking us up from our accommodation. Hiroshi was friendly and charming from the moment we met. He walked us with ease to the historical centre of Nara showing us the deer, temples and shrines. Hiroshi did this while sharing his understanding of Japans history, culture and practices, explaining the reasoning behind much of what we saw and how the buildings we came across altered or adapted over many hundreds of years. Hiroshi’s fun easy character bought the whole experience to life. It turned out to be a fantastic day out. Thank you Hiroshi. I would highly recommend asking Hiroshi to guide you round historic Nara.

Dear Francesca G I am grateful to you for your great reviews of one day tour in Nara. Both of you may have such an amazing experiences during the tour. When you entered the huge Nara deer park, countless deer welcomed you warmly or sometimes aggressively ! You also must be surprised to enter the Todai-ji temple, the largest wooden made temple in the world !
