It also has unique local products, and one of them is "masu", or a square wooden cup. People use it for measuring rice and drinking "sake", Japanese tasty alcohol. It is made of pieces of Japanese cypress. It smells good and eco-friendly product. Let's enjoy beautiful water city and making SDG's product together!!

“Fantastic half-day walking tour!”
Lily has been a wonderful guide on our half-day tour of Takayama, explaining history, culture and interesting anecdotes at different places of attraction. She was always happy to answer our questions. She had the tour well-planned yet accommodated any deviations to the plan e.g when we wanted to take a detour. She also offered to take a lot of photos for us. At the end of the tour, she even gifted us a handmade good luck charm. Anyone would have a great time with her has a local guide. Thank you very much , Lily. ありがとうございましゅた!

Thank you so much for such a wonderful review and comments! I'm so happy to read your warmhearted comments. Actually, it was so snowy day and very cold, but you were always smiley and looked happy. Also you listened to me so carefully and sometimes asked me some questions. Your kind attitude made me happy. Thank you for a wonderful snowy day in Takayama with both of you. Please enjoy winter season in Japan and please come to Japan in different season again. I hope to see you again! ありがとう〜!

“Kanazawa in 4 hours”
Yuriko organized and conducted a wonderful tour of Kanazawa in just 4 hours. We visited Kanazawa Castle, Kenruku -en garden and the Higashi -chaya district, which was the traditional geisha district in the old times. All of these were extremely interesting and brought to life by the excellent English skills of Yuriko. There was a an issue with our railroad tickets that resulted from of neglect and she resolved this in an extremely efficient and polite manner. She was well organized, very polite and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure knowing her. We enthusiastically recommend Yuriko for anyone needing a guide in Japan.
