It also has unique local products, and one of them is "masu", or a square wooden cup. People use it for measuring rice and drinking "sake", Japanese tasty alcohol. I'm very interested in kimono, tea ceremony and Japanese castles. I sometimes guide in kimono. There are so many nice places to visit in Gifu and Nagoya! I also guide around Takayama, Shirakawago, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka and Kanazawa if you pay my transportation fee from my hometown. Let's enjoy Japan with me!

“Great Tour To and Through Gujohachiman”
The tour itself was a nice mix of relaxation, walking, and a small hike to Gujohachiman castle. The silk screen printing was also a very fun and simple experience. But of course all good tours are because the guide themselves are great people. Yuriko-san was a very fun and informative guide. She’s also incredibly kind and great at involving you in conversations with locals as a translator rather than just talking by herself. I also had a lot of fun learning about her life and family and sharing my stories as well. If you’re in or near Gifu prefecture, I highly recommend Yuriko-san as a guide!

Thank you so much for posting an excellent review and wonderful comments, Jeff-san! Your comments encourage me a lot. I also had a wonderful time to talk with you while getting on a local train or walking around Gujo-Hachiman nostalgic street. Especially, it was fun for me to hear you and a staff at silk screen shop joyful conversation. Thank you for coming to Gujo-Hachiman, Gifu. I would like you to come to Gujo-Hachiman in summer. Let's enjoy bon-dancing in yukata, or cotton summer kimono together!!
