Takayama has a lot of nature and culture. In this tour, you can experience such a wonderful time of culture and nature in Takayama. At first, I guide you to the only surviving old office building in Japan where has a beautiful Japanese garden. Next, let's enjoy local street morning market for shopping! Then, how about seeing magnificent festival floats? Passing through the old street, why don't you go to the crafts square in order to enjoy making some local products by yourself?

visit the only surviving old office building since 17 century
Miyagawa morning market
visit the local morning market beside the river, you can enjoy shopping and talking to local shop owners.(Some of them speak English well)
Kusakabe Heritage House
visit the rich merchant house which has "irori",or old sunken fireplace and cute "hina" dolls
Takayama Festival Floats Exhibition Hall
visit and enjoy magnificent "yatai", or festival floats
Sakurayama Hachiman Shrine
visit the old shrine just beside the Floats Exhibition Hall
Sammachi Street
enjoy walking through the nostalgic old town street and have some local food for lunch
Takayama Traditional Culture and Crafts Square
enjoy experiencing craftsmanship. Let's try to make some lucky charm or knife by yourself!

I'm a local guide of Gifu, Nagoya and Aichi, but I can guide you around Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Kanazawa, Takayama and Shiga if you pay my transportation fee.
I also dress you kimono if you want.

“I had a wonderful afternoon with Yuriko!”
Yuriko took me shopping in Kyoto - I love vintage and contemporary textiles and fabrics, and she devised a our which took in a modern Kimono shop with amazing Japanese fabrics and kimonos, and the lovely textile museum shop which has some real treasures. Finally to a vintage boutique which was so beautiful and such good value. Thank you Yuriko - you are a perfect guide!

“Kyoto tour”
Yuriko is very kind and sweet, she took us to Kyoto and we rented kimonos and we also had the opportunity to see lots of Cherry blossom. She also gave us history and took us to places we could of missed. It was a beautiful day.
