Escape the tourist trail and spend a day in a peaceful valley near Hiroshima, where only locals live. This is not a museum but the guide's own home. In a 200-year-old Japanese house(Kominka), you'll experience real, everyday life- tatami rooms, local food, interaction with local children. As a rice farmer, I will share with you the slow countryside rhythms. No shops and no crows- just authentic Japanese life. You are welcomed not as a tourist but as a guest in our home.

Meeting Point

Hiroshima Station

- I'll wait you at the Shinkansen ticket gate of JR Hiroshima Station or at your hotel front desk. If you prefer the hotel, please let me know your hotel name in advance. I'm a licensed guide and I can take you to my place in about an hour by car.

10:00 AM

A home visit and Village stroll

House welcome:

I′ll start with a tour of the home, garden as an orientation.

Hands-on cooking:

Prepare a simple and seasonal dish together.

Valley walk:

Shrine visit, fields and forest edge.

Casual tea ceremony:

Relaxed tea time just for you.

If you wish, you can also meet local children, try farm work and other activities.

Ending Point

At Kabe Station (The nearest JR station). It takes 35 minute by train from Kabe Station to Hirosima Station. The line goes directly to the final station at Hiroshima Station.

I live in the peaceful countryside of Hiroshima, where I am a rice farmer, writer, and mother of three. Our family resides in a 200-year-old traditional farmhouse, surrounded by nature and history.

I began learning English again at the age of 40, and although I don’t have much overseas experience, guiding visitors has become one of my greatest joys. Sharing Japan through my own eyes makes every encounter exciting and meaningful.
