We will visit Hinata Yakushi-Hojobo and Oyama area where is designated as Japan Heritage. These are located in local villages where you can see other views of Japan differnt from big cities as Tokyo, Kyoto or Osaka.
In this tour, you will view old temples, shrines statues and Michelin 2 stars awarded landscape.

heading to Hinata Yakushi by public bus
Public bus is running from Isehara station to Hinata Yakushi-local area.
You can see local towns and villages in Japan.
From the bus stop, we will walk up about 20 minuites on the approach to Hinata Yakushi-Hojbo. The approach is going through deep woods and there are some stone steps. You can feel what ancient people saw and thought.

View the Main Hall ,the Treasure Hall ,etc.
The temple's major renovation was finished in 2016 after 7 years
and the newly thatched roof of the main hall is just magnificent.
In the treasure hall we can observe several buddhism statues
and temple treasures very closely.
Many of them have been designated as National Important Cultural Properties.

Walk down the same approach to Hinata Yakushi bus stop
Take a public bus to Isehara station then change the bus to

walk through Koma sando approach to Oyama cable station
take lunch at restraurant or cafe beside the approach
also there are some souvenir shops beside the approach, you can find Oyama unique things as koma-spinning tops, kyarabuki-cooked butterbur,etc.

take a cable car to Oyama-dera temple
on clear day, you can see Sagami-bay pacific ocean through cable car front window or glass top
if you are lucky you can see even Izu Oshima island

steep 85 stone steps are impressive
It was founded in AD 755 and the principal statue of the temple is Fudo Myoo, a wisdom king who has a fierce look and holds a sword and a rope to punish those who don't follow Buddha's teachings
you might be able to see some deers in the woods around the temple

take a cable car again up to Afuri-jinja shrine station
Afuri-jinja shrine
This is the other main destination of Oyama pilgrimage
Its origin dates back to 97 BC
along the approach, there are typical Shinto shrine objects, tamagaki-stone fences with names of donators, stone steps, water basin, Stone guardian dogs, Torii gate,etc.

we can get an Omikuji-fortune tellling paper, good luck charm, book of seals, etc. by paying some yen
under the shrine building, there is a fountain which clear water is drawn from Mt. Oyama. it's drinkable and tastes good. we can pour them in our water bottles
also there are large wooden swards which were donated in Edo period
back to the ground we can enjoy panoramic view of Sagami Bay, Miura Peninsula, Boso Peninshula and even Izu Oshima island

there are some cafes we can have some sweets, foods or drinks
