Taste local food of Kanazawa! On this tour, we will visit a few restaurants and bars learning about Japanese food culture and ingredients. You will sample a drink and a shared plate at each location and we will hop around. Your evening will be spent with a local guide by going to her favorites places and sharing stories together.
The locations will be adjusted accordingly to availabilities. Two spots are included as a default but contact me for more options.

Izakaya
First stop is a Izakaya, Japanese pub where they have variety of food menus and drinks or a restaurant that specializes in particular food like yakitori, skewered chicken.
Deeper Izakaya
Second stop is another izakaya with only counter seats where the owner prepares food and drinks in front of you.

- Must be 20 years old to drink in Japan and join this tour.
- Some venues are not completely smoke-free. I will do my best to avoid smoking areas but please let me know if you are sensitive to smokes.
- Consult about dietary restrictions in advance. Some restrictions may not be accepted due to the restaurants' policy.
- Bring enough cash since credit cards are not always accepted.
- Must be on time to keep reservations. If delayed, they may be canceled and we may need to make adjustments on the day.

“Haru is exceptional!”
Haru has deep roots in Kanazawa. One of the beautiful gardens we toured with her - the best we saw in all Japan in the 8 cities we visited on our trip - was owned by Haru's ancestors back in the 1600s. As a result, her pride, knowledge, and insights in the city are exemplary. Yet since she spent several years in America, her English communications skills are exceptional - she speaks clearly, interacts intentionally, and clearly enjoys being able to showcase her hometown, which we enjoyed even more than Kyoto (though that was fantastic as well). She's also prompt, flexible, and cheerful. I can't recommend her highly enough. Great tour!
