Nijo Castle
Nijo Castle, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a significant historical landmark of Japan. It is a powerful symbol of the Tokugawa shogunate's authority. Notably, it was the site where the Tokugawa shogunate formally relinquished power to the Imperial Court in 1867, marking the end of the feudal era in Japan.
Ninja House (Nijo Jinya)
Nijo Jinya looks like a regular, fancy merchant's house from the outside, but actually it is like a real-life spy headquarters from old Japan! It's a fascinating place that shows how people used ingenuity and clever design to protect themselves in a time of potential danger, all while keeping up the appearance of a regular, albeit grand, home.
