limited-season spring destination famous for its breathtaking weeping plum blossoms. From late February to mid-March, hundreds of cascading trees bloom in vibrant shades of pink and white, creating the impression of a flowing floral waterfall. Blooming Plums Traditional Japanese skills carried on for future generations

Discovering a collection of precious weeping Japanese plum trees. Many of them are Kureha Shidare and some are classified in the largest class in Japan. This is a research and cultivation farm that enables the Japanese traditional cultivation skills to be handed on to future generations. The garden is open to the public only while the plum trees are blooming in the early spring. In the night time illumination period, you can enjoy a spectacular view of about 200 magnificent plum trees in bloom lit up beautifully.

After enjoying the breathtaking weeping plum blossoms, we’ll stop by the garden’s charming souvenir shop. Here, you can browse a selection of seasonal treats and original goods inspired by ume (plum blossoms), including plum-flavored sweets, traditional Japanese snacks, and beautifully packaged local specialties such as plum blossom hand cream.

It’s the perfect opportunity to take home a small piece of spring — whether as a thoughtful gift or a personal keepsake. Limited-edition items are often available only during the bloom season, making your purchase part of the experience itself.

I was born in Japan and grew up in the United States.

After returning to Japan, I've worked all across the country. I spent a year traveling around Japan in a car that I DIY-converted into a camper. I hope to share the experiences and the knowledges of how to enjoy our culture to the most with people from all over the world.

I would like to introduce Japan's beautiful tourist spots that you can enjoy in every season—spring, summer, autumn, and winter—along with local delicacies beloved by the people in each area, and how to enjoy the unique cultures rooted in each region, such as: sushi, wagyu beef, cherry blossoms, rich milk bread, fluffy pancakes, convenient store's meals and snacks, maid cafe, izakaya(restaurant specialized to drink an alcohol), sake factory and so on.

I can create an original itinerary based on your interests! I’ll guide you with my private van anywhere in Japan from Hokkaido(top part of Japan) to Okinawa(bottom part of Japan). Without being restricted by public transportation schedules, allowing for more freedom in your travel. This is something only someone who has traveled the entire country, like me, can do! I’ll support you to the most, so please enjoy your time in Japan to the fullest!
