Nagoya city operates a Hop-on Hop-off style routine bus "Me-guru" among some tourism spots locating around Nagoya station and Sakae area.

It stops at "Nagoya castle", "Toyota commemorative museum", " Tokugawa art musium", "Sakae Mirai tower" as well.

You can use the bus from 9am to 5pm with one day pass which costs only JPY500 for adult.

This tour is completely customizable by your own priorities of each tourism spot then Guide can arrange to visit two to four destinations in a day.

Meeting Point

The beside of the out door escalators at Nagoya station

- The out side escalators locate at just out side of "Sakura dori entrance" of Nagoya station and in front of "Nagoya Gate Tower". (not at the "Taiko dori entrance" which close to Shinkansen ticket gate) Guide will wait for you at the meeting point with holding a sign board of Guide name "Tom". Please consult the possibility in advance to Guide if you need to be picked up at your hotel.

We buy one day pass for each guest and guide of Hop-on Hop-off bus Me-guru then get on it and head to the first destination.

The first destination then subsequent destinations, then go on further next

At first shall we create our rough itinerary of the day, of course your Guide is familiar with most tourism contents around this area so your Guide can give you good advices.

For example, what you can enjpoy or experience by hours and expenses at:

・Nagoya castle --- it is one of biggest Main Keep Towers and constructed by Japanese first national project then many domain loads were involved in this project, one half to two hours , JPY500(adult)

・Toyota commemorative museum --- It is the first place of Toyoda Sakichi, Founder of current Toyota group started his business then we can learn the history of Big Toyota group, one to two hours, JPY1,000(adult)

・Oasis21 --- It is the iconic structure of central urban area of Nagoya Sakae and we can enjoy shooting photos (and shopping), one hour or more

・Tokugawa-en --- You can walk around beautiful Japanese traditional garden and shooting photos, one hour, JPY300(adult)

・Tokugawa art museum --- There are many academic exhibits associated Japanese culture and history, one to one half hours, JPY2,000

・Lunch --- Most tourism spots have cafe or restaurants inside or near by, JPY1,000 to JPY2,500

Then board on Me-guru bas and move to the first destination (i.e. Nagoya castle) and stay there and enjoy the spot with Guide.

Then next destination or coffe break at some reluxing space or take lunch and then further next, continue to the final destination.

After you enjoyed two to four favorite destinations and took lunch at any fine restaurants, move to final bus stop which you decided and agreed with Guide in advance, then shall we say good-bye there each other around 5pm.

Tour Important Information

・Some tourism spots like Toyota commemorative museum or Tokugawa art museum are closed on Monday, then this tour is available on Tuseday through Sunday, but not on Monday.

・This tour is presupposed to walk outside like castle and inside of museum then please prepare appropriate wears and shoes.

・Lunch is available inside of couple of spots or there are some famouse Nagoya local restaurants around Sakae area. You can consult your Guide where you can take your favorite foods.

・If you have any religious food restrictions, please let Guide know details of your food restrictions in advance.

・One day pass of Me-guru is also available on C-758 public bus line then we can use the pass on C-758 bus and can go to Osu-kannon and Osu shopping street as well.

I started to work as an English speaking Guide from last year of Aichi and Gifu, Shiga, Shizuoka or Toyama, around mid center of Japan.

I already have many experiences of guiding tourists from many countries at “Nagoya castle”, “Toyota commemorative museum”, “Atsuta Jingu shrine”, “Osu Kannon temple and shopping arcade”, “Inuyama castle”, “Nagashima outlet mall”, "Seto-Gura pottary museum", “Sekigahara samurai battle field“, “Seki swordsmith museum”, “Takayama traditional town street”, “Takayama Jinya shogunate office”, “Shirakawa-go thatched roof houses village”, “Tateyama snow wall” as well.

If you have interests of Japanese history and culture or way of life, we can learn together them through my histrical tours.

I also work as a tour conductor of group tour using Van or Tour Bus or Shinkansen bullet train and have experiences of attending their lunch and dinner then I have experiences of how to cope different food restrictions of each ethnic group.

And I am little aged as you see then I am familiar with “slow life style” of elderly people then I will customize the pace of my tour flexibly according to the age and condition of my customer.

On the other hand if you have little kids in your party, I can prepare tours for kids like “Ghibli park” or “SCMaglev railway park” as well.
