I have worked in the multi-national organizations including UN agency for around 30 years and stationed at various cities including Rome, Bangkok and Hanoi. Although I have retired from those international carriers, I wish to keep the international cooperation and develop the friendship with people who visits our country. As I like history and am practicing Noh song and wood curving of Buddha images, I have decided to live in Nara where is surrounded by many historical places and traditional cultures, when I returned back to Japan in 2017. I wish to offer you custom made trip ideas to be able to enjoy the atmosphere of old city, Nara. I am also planning to develop trip plans to enjoy the local cultures. Please call me Yasu.

Walking along historical trail of Nara(1):Samurai road
“Lovely Samurai Trail”
Yasu brought my family of four on this walking trail. It was an easy 10km walk through the nature park and we also saw the Engyoji temple along the way. Yasu is extremely patient and accommodating and even took the trouble to bring us to oranges picking even though it was not part of the itinerary. He is also very knowlegeable and his experience with us. Overall we had a lovely walking and bonding time. Will definitely call him again for our next trip to Kyoto.

(30 reviews)Dear Constance Thank you very much for your nice words on the tour. However, I feel sorry that the last visit to orange picking was not materialized due to my wrong information. I am also very happy to know that your family enjoyed the tour. I wish we meet again for guiding Kyoto sometimes in the future. Yasu
“Review of Tour Guide Mr Yusuhisa”
Mr Yasuhisa led me on a 7 hour tour of Kyoto. It waa a very rainy day that day but he maintained a good spirit throughout the tour despite the inconveience due to the wet weather. He brought me to places I would not otherwise be able to find and was knowledgeable and patient in explaining Japanese history and culture in places we visited. Overall, He is a very good guide!

“A memorable day in Nara”
We had an amazing two-day tour with Yasu, exploring both Kyoto and Nara. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Each day, we began around 9 AM and wrapped up by 5 PM. Yasu met us at our hotel, and off we went, using public transportation—trains, taxis, and trolleys—which added a great cultural touch to the trip. Yasu is an exceptional guide, incredibly knowledgeable about both cities' history, culture, and way of life. We wanted to focus on those aspects, and he crafted a perfect itinerary that included visits to shrines, gardens, shopping districts, and museums. As naturally curious travelers, my husband and I asked plenty of questions, and Yasu was always happy to share his insights and perspectives, making our conversations both engaging and enlightening. Rather than worrying about tickets and transport, we gave Yasu the money at the start of each day, and he handled all the logistics for us. He also recommended excellent places for lunch, ensuring we ate at spots that matched our culinary tastes. His professionalism and helpfulness were top-notch. One particular highlight: I accidentally left my phone in a taxi, and as soon as Yasu found out, he took immediate action, calling the taxi company for me and negotiating a return. In less than 15 minutes, my phone was safely in my custody! With Yasu as your guide, you’ll experience so much in Nara -- the deer, the shrines, the Buddha, the gardens, the trolley and so much more, so make sure to bring comfortable walking shoes! I highly recommend him—he’s truly a standout. And, definitely don't miss out on Nara as it is truly a special little city outside of Tokyo.
