Meeting Point

Osaka/ Kyoto Station

- Guide will meet you at the Kyoto/ Osaka Station. If you are staying in Osaka guide will meet you infront of the central gate of JR Line. If you are staying in Kyoto guide will me you at the Central gate of JR line Kyoto station.

11:00 AM

Arrival at Kinosaki Onsen Station

Meet at Kinosaki Onsen Station and begin exploring one of Japan’s most famous hot spring towns. I will introduce you to the history of Kinosaki and explain the local onsen culture and traditions.

Walk Through the Traditional Onsen Town

Enjoy a relaxing walk through the beautiful canal streets lined with willow trees, traditional ryokan inns, cafes, and souvenir shops. We can stop at scenic photo spots and explore hidden streets around the town.

12:00 PM

Local Lunch Experience

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant where guests can try fresh seafood, Tajima beef, crab dishes (seasonal), or other regional specialties from Hyogo Prefecture.

Kinosaki Ropeway & Scenic Viewpoint

Take the famous Kinosaki Ropeway for breathtaking views of the town, mountains, and Sea of Japan area. The ropeway does not go directly to the top in one ride — there is a middle station called Onsenji Station where guests can stop and explore.

At the middle station, we can visit:

Onsenji Temple, a historic temple connected to Kinosaki’s hot spring culture

Quiet forest walking paths

Scenic viewpoints and photo spots

Traditional temple atmosphere surrounded by nature

After exploring the middle station, we continue to the top station where guests can enjoy:

Panoramic views of Kinosaki Onsen town

Beautiful mountain scenery

Observation deck and relaxing atmosphere

Tatto friendly and foreigner's friendly Onsen Hopping Experience

Experience Kinosaki’s famous 7 Tatto friendly and foreigner's friendly public bath culture by visiting traditional onsens such as Goshonoyu or Ichinoyu. I will explain Japanese onsen etiquette and help guests enjoy the experience comfortably.

Enjoy free time to walk around the charming streets in a traditional yukata, explore local cafes, and shop for souvenirs.

Dinner or Light Snacks

Enjoy the peaceful evening atmosphere of Kinosaki Onsen with beautifully illuminated streets along the canal. Guests can enjoy a relaxing dinner at a local restaurant or try snacks, Japanese sweets, seafood, or local street food before returning to the station.

(Approximately JPY 12,000 per person round fare for both the guest and guide)

* Kinosaki Ropeway ticket

(Approximately JPY 1,200 per person / guest and guide)

* Meals, snacks, drinks, and café expenses for both the guest and guide

* Onsen entrance fees if guests would like to experience multiple public baths

* Personal shopping and souvenir expenses

* Any additional transportation or personal expenses during the tour

Tour Important Information

* This tour involves a moderate amount of walking, including stairs and slopes around the ropeway and Onsenji Temple, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

* Please bring a small towel or personal items if you plan to enjoy the public onsens.

* ALL public onsens in Kinosaki are tattoo-friendly, making this tour suitable for travelers with tattoos.

* Guests with severe mobility, back, or knee problems may find some parts of the tour challenging due to walking and stairs.

* Transportation costs, ropeway tickets, onsen entrance fees, meals, and personal expenses are not included in the tour price.

* Please let me know in advance if you have any food allergies, dietary restrictions, or specific requests.

* Yukata rental is available at many locations in Kinosaki Onsen for guests who would like a traditional Japanese experience.

* The itinerary may change slightly depending on weather conditions, train schedules, or guest preferences.

* Please carry cash, as some local shops, restaurants, and onsens may not accept credit cards.
