Osaka, Japan's Capital of Shopping and Food
Osaka is officially Japan's culinary capital, and it's a shoppers paradise as well. Why not combine both in a day of pure joy? In this tour, you'll discover Osaka's most legendary shoe store, where you can find quality bags at a ridiculous price, where to shop for vintage or cosmetics... and any other product you may have set your heart on. And in between, I'll show you how to enjoy Osaka's famous street food, introduce you to Japan's culture of sweets, or take you to an authentic tea ceremony.

Meeting Point
Your hotel
- I'll come pick you up at your hotel, of course.
Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street
This is Osaka's essential shopping street for almost everything. It's covered and an attraction in itself. I'll take you through it, point out the most interesting shops, or show you the best places to find whatever you desire.
Kuromon Market
Osaka's food heaven is a joy to discover, and an ideal place to taste various kinds of street food. Takoyaki, okonomiyaki, kushikatsu: you'll love it.
Amerika-mura
This tiny neighborhood is Osaka's vibrant center of youth culture, streetwear and vintage.
River walk & Don Quijote
A short walk following Dotonbori River, one of Osaka's highlights, brings us to the flagstore of a chain that's almost symbolic of Japan: Don Quijote, known everywhere as Donki. On 5 relatively small, cramped floors you'll find literally everything. From sweets for kids to Rolex watches, from naughty toys to solid suitcases, from electronics to carnival outfits: this truly is Aladdin's cave. Love it or hate it, but until you've been to Donki you haven't been shopping in Japan! :-)
Tea Ceremony or Sweets?
Japan's formal tea ceremonies are world famous. If you want to try it, I'll bring you to an authentic tea house. Do you prefer more informal? Then I'll introduce you into the Japanese culture of sweets.
Shinsekai
We finish our tour in Shinsekai, once Osaka's workers neighborhood and now famous for its neon lights and the huge "statues" of the crabs, octopuses or sushi crowning the restaurants' entrances. Here you will find another variety of shops, and it's the ideal place to have dinner. If you want, I can show you how to recognize a real good Japanese restaurant from the outside...
Ending Point
Shinsekai or your hotel, as you wish
