Osaka is a city I truly love—friendly, lively, and full of experiences worth sharing.
Since July 2025, I’ve guided guests from many countries. I enjoy hearing about their lives and cultures, and I’m always glad to see their reactions to Japan. Everyday details here—food, traditions, or even train announcements—often feel new and exciting to visitors, and sharing those discoveries together is very rewarding.
Osaka is known as the “city of kuidaore,” where food is central to life. Takoyaki, kushikatsu, cheesecake, and the famous 551 pork buns are just a few of the local favorites I’d like you to try. The city is also called the “city of water,” with neon lights reflecting beautifully on the Dotonbori River. From the new Grand Green complex, you can enjoy modern views of the Umeda Sky Building, a symbol of Osaka’s mix of tradition and innovation.
Osaka is also the ideal base for exploring Kansai. In one day, you can visit Kyoto’s temples, Nara’s deer, Kobe’s harbor, or Shiga’s lakeside scenery. With more time, you can even reach Hiroshima’s Itsukushima Shrine or enjoy the food culture of Fukuoka.

“A truly caring and professional guide in Osaka – highly recommended!”
We were extremely fortunate to have Rina as our guide in Osaka. She is kind, professional, patient, and truly dedicated to her work. Originally, Rina had planned a full-day sightseeing tour for us, but unfortunately both my husband and I caught the flu and were unable to visit attractions. Instead, Rina devoted her day to helping us with all the practical matters of our trip — and she did it with remarkable care. She accompanied me to Osaka Station and patiently helped us buy all the train tickets for our entire Japan itinerary. She translated everything clearly, checked the train schedules, and made sure we got the correct tickets. Later, she took us to a pharmacy, helped us choose the most suitable medicines, and even found a convenient 7-Eleven currency exchange machine when we needed to exchange money — explaining everything in English so the process went smoothly. When she asked what else we needed, I mentioned we’d like to buy some local snacks, and she brought us to several popular shops that locals love, explaining each product with enthusiasm and insight. Even though we couldn’t go sightseeing, thanks to Rina we experienced something even more meaningful — the warmth, kindness, and professionalism of the Japanese people through her. Her English is excellent (she also teaches English part-time), and it was a joy to spend the day with her. Tour of Osaka-jo Castle
(Highlights) The present castle building looks beautiful, powerful and in perfect harmony with the surrounding environment. However, it was the venue of hegemony, bloody conflicts and natural disasters for many centuries. Once you visit the castle, you will be amazed at the magnificent structures, huge moats and the beautiful natural environment. The view from the top of the eight-storied donjon is splendid. You can reach there either by going up the steep stairways or taking an elevator ride. The castle is in the heart and the landmark of Osaka city, where many modern buildings stand. (How to enjoy) You can enjoy a leisurely walk along the one-kilometer road leading to the castle after you get off the train and, once inside the precincts, you cannot spare even a moment without marveling at the sight of an ancient technology and human wisdom, as well as the huge rocks building up the protection walls. Not only seeing the buildings, you can also sit on the grass and enjoy having lunch with your family members or friends. (Others) The entrance fee is 600 yen per person and the JR Osaka Loop Line train fare is 300 yen for the ride from Osaka to Osaka-jo-koen station. The fare for the ride between Kyoto and Osaka, meanwhile, is 510 yen.
