In this tour, you will explore the past and present of Shimizu Port and learn about the city of Shizuoka at the Verkehr Shimizu Port Terminal Museum.
we’ll head to Shimizu Fish Market - Kashi no Ichi, known as the “kitchen of Shimizu Port.” Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere filled with freshly caught seafood, local vegetables, Shizuoka’s famous green tea, and seasonal citrus fruits.
We’ll also stop by a Japanese convenience store, where you can take a short coffee break!

Verkehr Shimizu Port Terminal Museum
A museum that showcases the history, development, and current role of Shimizu Port. Interactive displays and model ships help visitors understand the importance of maritime trade and the culture of Shizuoka City.
Japanese Convenience Store
A quick stop for a coffee break and a glimpse into Japan’s world-famous convenience stores. Try a cup of fresh-brewed coffee and browse a wide variety of snacks, drinks, and unique everyday products.
Shimizu Fish Market - Kashi no Ich
A lively local market directly connected to the fishing port. You’ll find fresh seafood, seasonal produce, tea, fruits, and restaurants serving sushi, sashimi, and other local dishes.
About the Kashi-no-Ichi Parking Lot:
Due to ongoing construction, it takes about 3 minutes on foot to reach the facility from the parking area. Thank you for your understanding.

The exact tour dates may vary, but I’ll do my best to schedule them on days when cruise ships are in port.

“Shimizu stunning & fun”
We’re so glad we found Go with Guide and our tour guide Take. He deserves an A* for his expertise and kindness on our recent visit to your prefecture. Besides visiting the marine museum, seeing where Ocha grows and learning about 3 different types of tea and getting to taste hot tea at the shop, Shinto Shrine & viewing Fujiyama Taje was so thoughtful to share snacks, tea & writing a personalized postcard with each of our names in Kanji. Take has a good way of being organized, prepared & guiding the tourists to leave with more information. We all had a wonderful day with Take. We took 3 tours on our recent trip but would suggest this tour esp if leaving from the cruise port is easy and Take met and returned us to where our ship was docked.

“Highlights in Shimizu mit Take”
Wir waren nur einen Tag in Shimizu. Dieser Tag wurde durch unseren Reiseleiter Take zu einem besonders schönen Erlebnis. “Great Day in Shimizu Port/Shizuoka City”
We had a wonderful day with Take san, who provided us an insightful tour of Shimizu. Our day included the Miho no Matsubara Pine Groves and the history behind this UNESCO World Heritage site, a visit to the Nihondaira Yume Terrace, which provided incredible views of Mt. Fuji, as well as the Nihondaira Tea Pavilion. We also had a short stop in a shopping area for us to purchase additional Shimizu teas. Take san was passionate about sharing his knowledge and showing us the sights and sounds of Shizuoka City. We saw Mt. Fuji from different viewpoints, which made the tour all the more magically. Shimizu Panorama Tour
