This tour takes you on a journey through the past and present of Shimizu Port at the Verkehr Museum, followed by a scenic drive up to Nihondaira, a famous mountaintop viewing spot. From there, enjoy sweeping views of the Suruga Bay, central Shizuoka City, and—on a clear day—the majestic Mount Fuji and the Southern Alps.
Between April and October, you’ll also have a chance to experience tea leaf picking at the summit of Nihondaira.

This museum showcases the rich history and development of Shimizu Port through panels and models. It offers insights into the port’s past as a major center of trade and its role in modern logistics.
Nihondaira Yume Terrace
A stylish wooden observation deck offering a panoramic view of Mt. Fuji, Suruga Bay, and downtown Shizuoka. The structure itself is also a modern architectural highlight, harmonizing with the natural beauty of the area.
Tea Pavilion
Located near the summit of Nihondaira, this tea center offers hands-on tea experiences such as tea leaf picking (April–October), tea tasting, and learning about Shizuoka’s tea culture.
