Otsuka Museum of Art and Naruto Whirlpools Sightseeing Boat Tour
The Otsuka Museum of Art offers scheduled guided tours, but they are conducted only in Japanese. I will guide you through the highlights in English. And Naruto is famous for its whirlpools, and the most impactful way to experience the power of the whirlpools is undoubtedly by boat. During the boat ride, I will provide explanations in English about the mechanism behind the formation of whirlpools. My car is a mini car and it seats 4 people (3 besides me).

- - The meeting point is at the entrance of JR Naruto Station OR Naruto City Tourist Information Centre. JR Naruto Station is a small station, so you will not get lost. And Naruto City Tourist Information Centre is located just off the cable car from Kosoku Naruto Express Bus Station.

UZUSHIO KISEN High-Speed Whirlpool sightseeing boat
Ride a Whirlpool sightseeing boat. The Otsuka Museum of art allows re-entry on the same day, so I plan to take a sightseeing boat at the time when the whirlpools are most prominently visible.The boat ride lasts for about 20 minutes. We will purchase tickets on-site before boarding
Uzuno Michi Walkway
If the sightseeing boat does not depart due to bad weather, we will go to Uzuno Michi Walkway as an alternative. Naruto Strait and the whirlpools can be viewed from the promenade under the Onaruto Bridge.

* The entrance fees for Uzuno michi (you and the guide) (Adult 510 yen, Junior/High School Student 410 yen, Elementary School Student 260 yen/person)

Tour Important Information
* The viewing route at the Otsuka Museum of Art spans 4 kilometers, and the sightseeing boat can experience considerable motion. Therefore, please wear comfortable and sturdy shoes for the visit.
* Sightseeing boat operations may be canceled without prior notice due to sudden changes in weather and sea conditions.
* If the sightseeing boat does not depart due to bad weather, we will go to Uzuno Michi Walkway as an alternative. Naruto Strait and the whirlpools can be viewed from the promenade under the Onaruto Bridge.
* In principle, bringing food into the Otsuka Museum of Art is not allowed. However, for individuals with food allergies, it is permitted to bring a packed lunch or similar items into the restaurant or cafe if accompanying customers order from the restaurant or cafe menu.
The Otsuka Museum of Art is closed on Mondays, so tours are generally not available on Mondays. However, if Monday is a public holiday or during the year-end and New Year holidays, Golden Week, etc., the museum may be open. Tours are only offered on days when the museum is open.

“Memorable experience”
We travelled Japan for 3 weeks from Tokyo to Hiroshima via Shikoku and the most memorable part of our trip was the walk of 88 Pilgrimage route with Masami.
