Hello! I'm Leandra, and I'm stoked to be your guide as we dive into Japan. With seven years under my belt living here, I've become your trusted source for all things related to exploring this amazing country. Whether it's navigating the bustling city streets or trekking through scenic nature trails, I've got you covered.
I have extensive experience guiding excursions through mountains, inner city hidden gems, underground music scenes, and scenic day trips in the vicinity of Tokyo. When I'm not guiding, you can catch me indulging in my hobbies of digging into Japanese history, hitting up local shrines, lacing up my running shoes for a jog, scouting out new restaurants, or hitting the trails for a hike.
Originally from sunny SoCal, my roots stretch back to both Japanese and Mexican heritage, with a sprinkle of samurai lineage thrown in for good measure.
So, if you're ready to dive into the real Japan, away from the tourist traps, join me for an adventure you won't soon forget. Let's do this!
On Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays I am only available for evening tours from 18:00.
“Fantastic day out”
We had a wonderful day with Leandra. Very nice company and took us to all sorts of places we would not of found ourselves. Lots of information about the places we saw. It was a really good day thank you. A lovely person to spend time with.
“Great tour of music and sound bars!”
Leandra met at my hotel shortly after I arrived in Tokyo. Having been on a 13 hour flight being able to stay awake later into the night was important for jet lag. We walked around some sights in Chiyoda as she explained little temples (the only ghost with a bank account) and architecture at the train stations. While I believe she has some set places for Jazz music we bounced around different neighborhoods on the way to see the Tokyo night life and discuss the culture. Leandra is American but has lived in Japan for 7 years so it helped having some cultural similarities. All in all she is a very nice and helpful person who was easy going and made my first night in Tokyo a lot of fun.
“First Night in Japan and Jazz Club Tours”
Leandra made a dinner reservation and ate dinner with my son and I on our first night in Tokyo. Our taxi to the hotel was delayed in traffic and we thought we might loose the reservation but she worked very hard to make sure it was not lost even though we were almost an hour late. Afterwards we went to a small Jazz club in the Ueno area and my son a singer/songwriter/guitarist, ended up playing five songs with the jazz musicians. It was truly magical. She is a lovely, attentive and flexible person that loves the jazz scene in Tokyo so reach out and enjoy music with her!
