Tokyo Station/ Imperial Palace
We will see the inside of one of the most efficient train systems in the world and visit the the imperial palace.
Ueno Park
We’ll visit Shinobazu no Ike Bentendo Temple, Kiyomizu Kannon Temple, Saigo Takamori’s statue, and the vibrant Ameyokocho alley.
Lunch in Ueno
We will have lunch at a restaurant of your choice. Some recommended options: Bullet Train Sushi, Yakiniku (Japanese BBQ), Okonomiyaki (Japanese Savory Pancake), Tempura, Ramen, Izakaya (Japanese pub/dining), Tonkatsu (pork cutlets) and more.
Yanaka Ginza
We will visit the Shitamachi, old town tokyo, and explore the shops, cafes, temples and more.
Asakusa
We'll experience the vibrant charm of Asakusa, enjoying the finest street food, exploring unique local shops, and discovering the rich history at Sensoji Temple, all while admiring the peaceful views of the Sumida river and sky tree.

I have extensive experience guiding excursions through mountains, inner city hidden gems, underground music scenes, and scenic day trips in the vicinity of Tokyo. When I'm not guiding, you can catch me indulging in my hobbies of digging into Japanese history, hitting up local shrines, lacing up my running shoes for a jog, scouting out new restaurants, or hitting the trails for a hike.
Originally from sunny SoCal, my roots stretch back to both Japanese and Mexican heritage, with a sprinkle of samurai lineage thrown in for good measure.

My husband and I enjoyed our first full day in Tokyo with Leandra! She was so friendly, personable, and took such great care of us. We saw many sites off the beaten path which we preferred. Tokyo One-day As You Like with Kaori
This tour fits all, from first timers to repeaters who love local experiences. You can choose what you like from spots listed, or I can pick up for you if you don't have clue. Just let me know your preferences. I can make a good combination of old and modern, major and local. Tokyo has a lot more to experience besides the list.
