I’ve called Japan home for seven years, embracing everything from Tokyo’s vibrant urban energy to the tranquillity of the countryside. Before becoming a guide, I explored Tokyo like a curious long-term traveller, uncovering unusual temples, quirky landmarks, hidden backstreets, local live music venues, rural mountain villages, and one-of-a-kind cultural gems. My passion lies in crafting immersive journeys that dive deep into Japan’s heart, sparking a sense of wonder and escape that makes travellers feel worlds away from home.
I’m excited to guide you through the Tokyo labyrinth. This city is endlessly fascinating—so layered and dynamic that even with a lifetime here, you’d only scratch the surface. I’ll show you how to navigate it like a local, as mastering the transport system isn’t as tricky as it seems, and I’ll help you gain the confidence to explore Tokyo on your own while we focus on the city’s hidden treasures.
Together, we can visit parts of Tokyo most travellers overlook—the nostalgic charm of the Shitamachi, the hustle of salaryman districts, the neon-lit buzz of cyber Tokyo, and tranquil local power spots. Let’s discover the city’s hidden depths and create memories that will last a lifetime!
“Fun and interesting”
Leandra was very efficient in communicating with me before the day to confirm the suggested itenary and inclusions of my ideas for the day. She arrived early and was very organised with all travel requirements for train routes, platform entries and exits. She researched for the most efficient routes and knew where she was at every point. Leandra gave brief historical overviews of many places and suggested other ideas within or close by to the same area. Her recommendations for shopping, coffee and meal breaks were all excellent and within budget. She took on board alternate ideas and changed the itenary as needed to fulfil my ideas as they arose on the spot. Leandra went out of her way to ask shop keepers my questions and meet my needs as best as possible. As conversations took place, Leandra diverted itenary to show building architectures, galleries and common foods/shops within specific areas. She considered my needs at every account asking how I was going. I would not hesitate to recommend this service and Leandra to others touring Tokyo.
“Walking tour of Tokyo ”
We had a great time on the full day tour with Lea. She was very knowledgeable about the sights in Tokyo and flexible to the needs of our group, including finding a delicious vegan Japanese restaurant
“Leandra was great! ”
Leandra took me around Tokyo like a local. She has great knowledge of the city. I got to see so much, ate some great Omakase and ended the tour at her friend’s bar. Highly recommend!
