About Tour Guide Yukiko F.
I'm Yukiko Fujii. I'm a Licensed Tour Guide and a Registered Nurse. I've worked as a guide since 2015. Thanks to increasing repeat, referred and new clients, tour guide is my main job. I've done virtual experience on Amazon and company events during the last 3 years pandemic. Since I am one of a few guides who tried virtual tour in Tokyo during pandemic, it was a challenging, but it was definitely a great step and enhanced my guiding skills.
I was born and raised in Tokyo. I am a mother so that I'd be glad to welcome families with young children as well.
I used to teach Japanese cultures to elementary students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 at local and private elementary schools when I lived in Canada, United states, and New Zealand. My happiest moments with these children were when they look forward to another lesson every week. All lessons were customized and prepared after discussing with each classroom teacher. It was a challenging job, but this experience broaden my horizon and prompted me to become an English tour guide.
I have a license of Registered Nurse and a Medical interpreter. I've still worked as a nurse during the off- tourism season so that I've kept a medical back ground. There are some common thinking between Tour guide and Nurse, both jobs are required to put myself into their shoes. I'll make plans considering their physical conditions and will arrange any supports after discussing about the tour. I've already experienced to do several tours for mobility challenged clients who have intractable disease and have a difficulty for a long walking. Mobility challenged customers (cane/wheelchair) are always welcomed.

One day-Private Tour based on your requests in Tokyo
My tour tyle is private customized tour in Tokyo, Yokohama, Kawagoe, Kamakura and other area (not so far from Tokyo) based on your requests. We communicate well in advance and will make your own itinerary. After booking, I will give you detailed itinerary. If you prefer me to dress up in Japanese attire Kimono on tour, I can do with no additional charge. Please feel free to contact with me.
Zoom- Private live virtual experience in Tokyo

One day- Private Customized Tour in Kamakura
This tour is customized tour in Kamakura area. You can also include a short hiking course( 1 hour-1.5 hours) while visiting some temples. Enjoy nature walking and feel rich history in Kamakura There are many places in Kamakura, so we can discuss and make your own itinerary together.
One day-Private Tour for mobility challenged customers
For wheel chair and cane users, it might be challenging to visit many spots in Tokyo. Some barriers on the way like steps and hills, getting on the train. It is very important to organize everything well in advance in order to fit their health conditions and paces. After hearing your condition, I will make a tentative itinerary. I had experienced to work as a nurse at hospital and also toured for some mobility challenged guests. Please feel free to contact with me and enjoy your trip!

Kawagoe is located in Saitama which take about 1 hour and 15 minutes from the central Tokyo. The city of Kawagoe developed as an merchant city during the Edo period and has kept its old and nostalgic atmosphere. Kawagoe, exploring a rich historical city, will make your trip more fun! There are many historical places such as Kumano shrine, Kita-in temple, candy street and main "Kura" street. Let's strolling around Kawagoe together!

Purchased a tour with Yukiko for my father-in-law for Christmas. It was a fun experience and brought back a lot of memories of his travels there, but also interesting to see what has changed. What I want to do as a guide is introducing about my city Tokyo, including Japanese culture, history, lifestyle for more a wide range of people in the world, not only for my guests in person. I have a background of being a nurse and met many people who have mobility issues by some reasons. This experience prompted me to start this virtual tour, connect Japan and their home via online and show my guest what's going on right now in Tokyo. “Family visit to Tokyo ”
My family and I were visiting Japan from the USA. We have a friend that recommended Yukiko and I’m so glad she did! Yukiko is a wonderful guide! She had wonderful communication with us leading up to our trip, she listened to all the things we wanted to to do and see while in Tokyo, and when she had suggestions for the itinerary that didn’t seem to fit our family she quickly changed the plans. She had wonderful recommendations of things to do even after we were done with our tour and on other days of our trip. She made getting around the city on the subway and JR Line super easy and helped us get comfortable with it so we could easily do it ourselves later in our trip. Yukiko went above and beyond on service, communication, and execution. Her English is superb and she works well with children (our kids are 17, 15, 13, & 10). She is incredibly organized and knows her city. I highly recommend Yukiko when booking your personalized tour around Tokyo.
