1. Yokohama Chinatown
Over six thousand Chinese restaurants are crammed into the tight area of Yokohama Chinatown, making it one of the best places in Japan to enjoy Chinese cuisine. Temples here make it possible to experience a different culture from Japan, and shops selling various goods from China make it a great place to shop for something different. Each year there is the lion dance festival to bring in the Chinese New Year.
2. Yokohama Landmark Tower
A 273 meter observation deck offering incredible night views of Yokohama port and the stunning illuminations in the area of Minato Mirai 21, Yokohama Landmark Tower is the second tallest building in Japan. Packed full of restaurants, shops, and bars, the tower itself can be enjoyed throughout the day and at night, and is a great place to spend an afternoon browsing through the hundreds of stores.
3. Sankei-en Garden
Relax for a moment. Enjoy the harmony of one of Japan's finest gardens. At Sankei-en Garden you can enjoy various styles of architecture, wander through scenery that is distinct to each season, and enjoy the tranquillity and simplicity of the garden, which can be described as a philosophical place of beauty.
4. Cup Noodles Museum
At the Cup Noodles museum you can enjoy the history of this famous brand of Japanese instant noodle. The highlight is the chance to make your own personalised packaging and flavour combination of Cup Noodle, and take it home with you, or give it to your noodle loving friends; the perfect unique gift from this incredible museum.
5. Yamashita Park
Yamashita Park is a great place to watch ships from the comfort of a bench surrounded by flowers. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the pier, or relax in the various gardens. Artwork and sculptures are on display around the park, and the atmosphere of the seaside can be enjoyed day and night.
