I am Australian, from Sydney originally, but my life with Japan and its culture and history spans 40 years, and I have been a Hiroshima resident for 25 of those 40 years. Hello, my name is Chizuru. I'm from Kagawa, Shikoku Island. I went to primary school in London and in my 20s, I travelled around the world as a backpacker. After becoming a mother, I settled in Kagawa. Over time, I became deeply fascinated by Japanese culture, particularly kimono and Japanese sake. This led me to open a kimono rental shop in one of Japan's most beautiful gardens. I find great joy in meeting tourists and dressing them in kimono. I also began offering Japanese sake bar-hopping tours, which I mostly enjoy because they allow me to have fun with tourists and share my passion for Japanese culture. “Beautiful sights with the best guide!”
Kagawa is filled with so many beautiful places and such rich history, and Takanori was the perfect guide for this experience. He took the time to not only show me around some of the best spots, but also explain the history of the area in such an enthusiastic and interesting way, that it made everywhere we went feel even more special. He was the perfect guide, and went above and beyond to make sure I had the best experience possible. He also took me to lunch and it was one of the best meals I have had anywhere and also gave me more recommendations that were great for dinner as well. If you are looking to experience Kagawa, you need to do it with Takanori, you will be so glad you did! He really made my trip so memorable, and I now consider him a friend. On my next trip to Japan I am definitely using Takanori again as my guide!

“The best bonsai in the world with the perfect guide!”
This was such a great experience, and Takanori was the perfect guide for it! If you are into Bonsai, this is a must do trip and Takanori is who you want showing you around all of the different nurseries and gardens. He explained all of the interesting history of bonsai in Kagawa and Takamatsu to me as we went from stop to stop, and he has great relationships with many of the nursery owners. I not only got to see all the world class bonsai and gardens in the area, but I was able to interact with the owners as well. A few of them invited us for tea or drinks and to sit and talk with them as well, which was such a special experience I wouldn’t have been able to have without Takanori. He even took me to a local Udon restaurant for lunch which was delicious. This is the true hidden gem of Bonsai in Japan, and I would highly recommend Takanori to anyone interested in this experience. He was such a nice and thoughtful guide, and went above and beyond to make sure I had the best experience possible. I can’t say enough about him, because he made this one of the best experiences of my life and something I will never forget!
