Hello! I'm Nao. I was born and raised in Himeji, which is famous for the Himeji Castle (egret castle). I'm guiding in Kyoto, Osaka, Nara and Hyogo (especially Kobe and Himeji). I'd been in the US for three years attending a university. During the stay I went to the Yellow Stone twice, and visited California. I took a summer French class for a month in Canada, so I speak French a little. I love travelling. I went to many places in Japan. I visited Hokkaido, Okinawa, Hiroshima, Kanazawa, Nikko, Mt. Fuji and so on. I love music ― pops, rock, gospel and classical music. I'm a fan of Beethoven. Some day I'd like to go to Vienna and visit his houses and the forest, where he composed "the Pastoral Symphony". There are lots of attractions in Japan. You can visit shrines, temples, deer park etc. You can enjoy USJ, river cruise, anime museum, Japanese sake, Onsen and of course delicious Japanese dishes. Let's have fun together !

I am Australian, from Sydney originally but my life with Japan and its culture and history spans 30 odd years and I have been a Hiroshima resident for 18 of those 30 years. “Smooth & Helpful”
It was challenging at first to find a transportation service that would suit our unique needs and group, given that we were traveling between Okayama and Wakayama. TR Taxi is very generous to offer their services to us, and our driver Matsuo-san was extremely capable and kind. The group felt that our drive with him was seamless and that it was easy to forget that we were in a car at times. I would absolutely recommend both Matsuo-san and TR Taxi and am very grateful for their services.

“Great tour with a great guide”
Yoko is a great guide who is very knowledgeable about Japanese history especially in the Okayama area. As part of the tour we visited a pottery kiln inBizen Imbe, where Yoko got us a behind the scenes tour of the kiln with the owner and master potter. Then we visited Kurashiki where she explained so much interesting history of the area, the shrines, and all the powerful people who lived there. If you are interested in learning about Okayamas rich history, you have to book a tour with Yoko!!!

“Naoshima wouldn’t have worked without Hugh”
Naoshima is an amazing place. Each member of the family found many things to love. However it took the amazing efforts of our guide Hugh to properly book each location with appropriate timings and routes between. It would have been impossible to do it on our own. Hugh has deep knowledge of the art and Japan. His unique perspective and background as a schoolteacher kept our teens engaged with the experience. I can imagine there are other good guides out there but probably none better than Hugh to make the island really come alive.
