Kamakura is a very popular tourist destination and has a lot of beautiful places such as Buddhist temples with gardens, and Shinto shrines. The city has a lot of Japanese restaurants which offer lovely dishes. We’ll visit some of the most popular spots in Kamakura, such as Hokoku-ji temple (with a bamboo garden), Hase-dera temple (one of the oldest temples in Kamakura), and Kotoku-in temple which is well known for the Great Buddha. I'll meet you at your hotel and then we'll go to kamakura by train.
Hokoku-ji temple
The temple has a beautiful bamboo garden and some lovely gardens. You can feel tranquility there.
Hase-dera temple
The temple is the oldest Buddhist temple in Kamakura. You can also see a beautiful view of Kamakura from the observatory.
Kotoku-in temple (The Great Buddha)
You must be overwhelmed by the Great Buddha.
Komachi-dori street or anywhere you're interested in
If we have time, we'll go to Komachi-dori street or anywhere you're interested in.

About Tour Guide Yoko I.
Hello, I'm Yoko. I was born and brought up in Ashikaga, Tochigi prefecture (80 km north from Tokyo) and I've lived in Tokyo for more than 20 years.
I love traveling, both overseas and inside Japan. After I visited other countries and saw many local cultures there, I realized that Japan has a variety of unique cultures with a lot of tourist attractions.

“Best way to see Japan is with Yoko!”
We booked two tours with Yoko, one was this one day Tokyo tour and the other was the Kamakura tour. I entered my One Day Tour review on the other tour in error. Both tours were so wonderful, but I would like to recognize Yoko on the amazing job she did with the Kamakura tour. It was such a wonderful experience... We loved the train ride and the bus ride to Kamakura. We saw the Buddha, but because we are a foodie, we especially loved the soba noodles place Yoko introduced us to. Yoko was like family by the end of our tour...she was kind, helpful, and made sure we did all that we wanted. Our tour went a little longer than expected, but Yoko was flexible and very accommodating. When it was time to say goodbye, she gave us thank you gifts. We were sad to say goodbye. We will definitely seek her again next time we go back to Japan. Thank you Yoko for making us feel special and giving us memorable moments.

Yoko, you were the sunshine of our trip. We are truly appreciative of all the effort you made to accommodate our group. You hit everything on the nail.. you introduced us to the Japanese culture, you took us shopping, and best of all, you took us to a culinary adventure by telling us food we should try and took us to delicious restaurant. The day was one of the busiest time in Tokyo with lots of people, so I wasn't sure if you fully enjoyed Tokyo - but I was glad to see that all of you enjoyed sakura-mochi, seasonable sweets in Japan, at Tsukiji market. I was also glad to see that your children and niece looked really happy when we arrived in Akihabara. I'll never forget their reaction, which naturally made me smile. I was impressed by their knowledge and interest in Japan and Japanese culture. Touring with all of you was fun and interesting. Thank you so much for having me as your guide.

My custom day tour of Tokyo with Yoko could not have been better. She has a great ability to adapt to requests and still keep us on schedule. Very knowledgeable, very well-prepared, very friendly.
