Meeting Point
Your Hotel in Fukuoka City
- I am located within a 20-minute drive from Fukuoka Airport, Hakata Station, and Hakata Port, so if you book a hotel near these facilities we can ensure a smooth meeting.
Your Hotel in Fukuoka City
Let's enjoy the tour together:)
Estimated travel time is 2.5 hours plus 2 bathroom breaks
ASO SANJO TERMINAL
This is the volcanic activity investigation station for Mt. Aso. Here we receive instructions on whether or not we can enter the mountain. If gases are being emitted by volcanic activity, we may not be able to enter. In that case, I have an alternative plan to leave immediately and go to Kumamoto Castle.
Lunch Time
The nearby restaurants only serve dishes that include meat, so if any members of the group cannot eat meat, we will have an early lunch before arriving in Aso.
The Aso Volcano Crater Observatory
The Aso Volcano Crater Observatory in Japan provides breathtaking views of Mount Aso, one of the world’s largest active volcanoes. Visitors can observe the active crater emitting steam and gases, showcasing its raw volcanic power. The site includes educational displays on geology and safety for a deeper understanding of the area.
-Estimated time spent: 2.5 hours (including Kusasenri, and Lunch Time)
Kusasenri Grassland
Kusasenri is a vast grassy plain near Mount Aso, offering scenic views of the active volcano. It's a popular spot for walking, horseback riding, and enjoying the tranquil scenery, with a small pond reflecting the surrounding landscape. Perfect for nature lovers and photographers alike!
Estimated travel time to next location: 2.5 hours plus 2 bathroom breaks
Farewell time: Your Hotel in Fukuoka City
I would appreciate your understanding that the arrival time may be delayed due to traffic congestion. Traffic congestion is expected around Fukuoka at this time due to the cars and public transport of local business people.
See you again:)

“Amazing tour”
Katsu was an absolute professional, very thoughtful and accommodating. My mother has accessibility needs and he made sure this was supported at all times. He even sent reading material ahead of the tour which was well received giving us further understanding of what we were going to see. Katsu went above and beyond. I would highly recommend him and his tours.
Katsu N.
Dear Joanne and your mother, I am truly honored to hear you say that. I hope that the PDF I sent you will also become a memory of the tour. I will be able to attend to various cities other than Nagasaki, so I hope to see you again. Thank you for joining my tour. Katsuhisa

“4 days trip with seniors”
Katsu-San was an excellent guide. We had day trips to Saga Prefecture and Mt. Aso. He is an excellent driver. He really accommodated all our requests given that my parents have mobility issues.
Katsu N.
Thank you so much, Raymund! It was my pleasure to guide you and your wonderful parents. I’m really glad we could make the trip comfortable and enjoyable for everyone. Wishing you all the best, and I hope to welcome you again in Kyushu someday!

“Excellent day in Nagasaki ”
Katsu was a wonderful guide and made us feel very welcome. He took us to a lovely restaurant and helped explain things to us. Would not hesitate to recommend Katsu!
Katsu N.
Thank you so much for the kind words, Annya. I’m very happy you enjoyed the day and felt welcome in Nagasaki. I’m also glad you liked the lunch spot—sharing local places is one of my favorite parts of guiding. And thank you as well—I was also impressed by the delicious Chateaubriand you kindly treated me to! Wishing you both a wonderful rest of your cruise, and I’d be honored to guide you again someday!
