About Tour Guide Masatoshi M.
I had worked for the Japan's biggest travel agency JTB (Japan Travel Bureau) for 35 years as a tour escort for Japanese.
I visited 68 countries and of course all over Japan as well. So I’m familiar with almost all of the tourist attractions in Japan.
More over I’m also a professional magician now. I’m a member magician of The Magic Castle in Hollywood in US. That's why I made a decision to become an English tour guide.
I acquired a tour guide license issued by the Japanese government with a lot of hard work in 2016 and I started from the following year.
I work as an English guide approximately 130 days a year.
My wife is physically disabled, and I usually care for her.
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I receive home care and bathing services, so I am unable to go out during the day as I have to prepare for and clean up afterwards.
I am available to guide on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. I can take up to four people sightseeing in my private car.
I am available at any time during evening tours, such as YATAI tours.

“Very accommodating and knowledgeable!”
Morry san took us around itoshima and planned the itinerary based on what we wanted to do. It was unfortunate that one of the places we wanted to go to hadn’t opened yet, but Morry san immediately found us an alternative solution. He is extremely experienced and well travelled, so he has many stories to tell not just about the places we are visiting but other countries or parts of Japan as well! Additionally he shows us magic tricks that astound us in the pockets of time that we are waiting. I highly recommend him!

“Morey is a character”
I had a solo yatai evening tour with Morry in Fukuoka. We went to a great yatai in Tenjin, and I met Morry there, where he was waiting first-in-line to ensure we got seated straight away when it opened. In the 10 minutes we were waiting Morry showed me some card tricks - I *think* I figured out how he did one of them but not sure. He has very quick hands. I tried a number of dishes, all Morry’s recommendations, and they were delicious he nailed it. I told Morry that I had never had good Japanese ramen before (it all tastes rather bland to me back home in Australia), so after the yatai he took me to one of his favourite ramen shops in Nagahama where I had the first bowl of soup oupramen I ever enjoyed! In between eating we chatted about where each of us have travelled. Morry sure has led an interesting life. Highly recommended!

“Morry-San, our Perfect Guide”
Morry-san took us on a one-day road trip to Itoshima Peninsula- from the Sennyoji Temple to Shiraito Falls, Salt Factory, Keya Beach, Totoro Forest and the Sakuraishi Futamigaura. He was prompt, very informative, articulate, friendly, charming, and funny. We felt safe with him as he skillfully drove us around the coast in a rented van that accommodated our family of 6. We enjoyed his stories! He took great photos and as a bonus, entertained us with magic! I can’t imagine a better guide for Fukuoka!! We shall definitely get him again if we come back. I will highly recommend him to our family and friends.
