About Tour Guide Masatoshi M.
I had worked for the Japan's biggest travel agency JTB (Japan Travel Bureau) for 35 years as a tour escort for Japanese.
I visited 68 countries and of course all over Japan as well. So I’m familiar with almost all of the tourist attractions in Japan.
More over I’m also a professional magician now. I’m a member magician of The Magic Castle in Hollywood in US. That's why I made a decision to become an English tour guide.
I acquired a tour guide license issued by the Japanese government with a lot of hard work in 2016 and I started from the following year.
I work as an English guide approximately 130 days a year.
My wife is physically disabled, and I usually care for her.
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I receive home care and bathing services, so I am unable to go out during the day as I have to prepare for and clean up afterwards.
I am available to guide on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. I can take up to four people sightseeing in my private car.
I am available at any time during evening tours, such as YATAI tours.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Please ask me first. If it is possible.

“Morry-San, our Perfect Guide”
Morry-san took us on a one-day road trip to Itoshima Peninsula- from the Sennyoji Temple to Shiraito Falls, Salt Factory, Keya Beach, Totoro Forest and the Sakuraishi Futamigaura. He was prompt, very informative, articulate, friendly, charming, and funny. We felt safe with him as he skillfully drove us around the coast in a rented van that accommodated our family of 6. We enjoyed his stories! He took great photos and as a bonus, entertained us with magic! I can’t imagine a better guide for Fukuoka!! We shall definitely get him again if we come back. I will highly recommend him to our family and friends.

Thank you for the wonderful review. I'm so glad you and your family enjoyed your trip to Itoshima. It was a bit too hot, but it was fun, wasn't it? Please let me know if you have another opportunity to come to Fukuoka. I'd be happy to show you around. Perhaps it will be autumn foliage season then?

“Entertaining Day ”
I knew Morry was the tour guide for me when I discovered that one of his pre-existing tours included Motonosumi Shrine and that he was willing to go the extra mile to customize my tour. He drove very long distances to show us the picturesque Omijima coastline, stunning red torii gates perched on a bluff overlooking the ocean, and the unique reclining Buddha at Nanzoin Temple. Morry’s attention to detail is flawless as he figured out the best pick up point, communicated before and after the tour with insights related to our tour and suggestions of what to see and eat after our tour ended. He is a born entertainer sharing stories and magic tricks mixed in with historical commentary on the attractions we saw.

I am delighted that you chose me from among many English-speaking guides, and that you enjoyed Aoshima Island, Motonosumi Inari Shrine, and Nanzoin Temple with me. I hope that you have grown to love Japan even a little bit. If you ever have the opportunity to come to Fukuoka, please let me know. I would be happy to guide you. Thank you and Arigato gozaimasu.

“Great entertainer”
Morry is a very entertaining tour guide, and he will pepper your tour with amazing up close magic tricks! My son who likes magic and is usually skeptical of most magic shows is honestly baffled by quite a few of his tricks despite having the chance to observe up close. Our tour was on a rainy day but Morry came prepared with wet weather gear for us. It was a good day out.

I'm so glad you enjoyed Dazaifu and Yanagawa despite the rainy weather. I have over 400 magic tricks; I'll show you even more next time we have the opportunity. Please come to Fukuoka again. See you again soon

Visit to NANZOIN Temple by car
The Shakyamuni Nirvana Statue at Nanzoin Temple. Completed in 1995, it measures 41 meters in length, 11 meters in height, and weighs 300 tons—making it one of the largest bronze reclining Buddha statues in the world. It also became well known when the temple’s chief priest won the top prize and bonus prizes in the Jumbo Lottery, with many saying it might have been a blessing from the statue. Surrounded by lush greenery, the serene expression of the Buddha watches over visitors in quiet peace.
