Yanagawa is famous for punting in the river and also being famous with old ruler of Tachibana family. On the punting boat, the punter will entertain you with the songs and the talks. It is going to be so much fun to see their performance on the boat as well as the scenery and atmosphere of the river.
Also Dazaifu is known as the old capital of Fukuoka, which was built by old
Lord Michizane Sugawara, who has been worshipped as the deity of academy in the region.

We get to Yanagawa station and take bus to boat venue

yanagawa boat punting is so unique in that the boat paddlers are such entertainers as he guides the area at the same time sings the old Japanse songs in funny ways and make people laugh, relaxed. You can also enjoy the
view of yanagawa river. If time permits, you can also visit the old Tachibana Family residence, who was the regional ruler from 400 years ago. Now their old house is converted to the accomodation and museums.

Dazaifu Tenmangu shrine is widely known as the "Shrine for the acedemic protection" that a huge population of young students come to pray to pass exams. This shrine was constructed back in 9th century to enshrine "Michizane Sugawara" who has been worshipped as the god of academy , after his death. Dazaifu had been the political and defense hub of Kyushu from ancient time as well as serving as diplomatic center.
Nowadays attracting a lot of visitors from all over the world.
Also, in 10 mints walk, you can visit Kyushu National museum, where you can encounter a deep historical exhibits of Japan from ancient times.
