- Saga Arashiyama JR Station (Main Entrance near Maison Matcha Cafe) Exit via SOUTH GATE.
Tenryu-ji Temple
A UNESCO World Heritage Zen temple, famous for its beautifully landscaped gardens that change with the seasons.
Bamboo Forest
One of the most iconic sights in Kyoto, this short walking path surrounded by towering bamboo stalks creates a magical, calming atmosphere.
Togetsukyo Bridge
Translating to "Moon Crossing Bridge," this wooden bridge offers stunning views of the Katsura River and surrounding mountains.
Iwatayama Monkey Park

Hozugawa Riverside Walk/Shopping Street

• Tour Duration: Approx. 4 hours with moderate walking and one short uphill hike.
• Fitness Level: Moderate-High. The hike to Monkey Park takes about 20 minutes uphill. Comfortable shoes are highly recommended.
• Weather: Tour runs rain or shine. Please bring a small umbrella or rain jacket just in case.

Kyoto: Bamboo, Mountains and Markets [8 hours]
The tranquility of a meticulously maintained bamboo forest, a mountain shrine with vibrant red torii gates, and a breathtaking view of the city from a mountaintop temple. In this adventure we will explore the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, visit the Fushimi Inari Taisha shrine, and wander through the Tofuku-ji temple (especially beautiful in Fall or Spring). Later, we check out Kiyomizu-dera and walk through Yasaka Shrine, Gion, Shirakawa Lane, Pontocho, Teramachi, and over to the Nishiki Market.
