Arashiyama Monkey Park
Arashiyama Monkey Park is home to approximately 120 wild Japanese macaques. The park is rich in nature, and the monkeys show off their seasonal appearances throughout the year. Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy some time with the monkeys. It takes about 20 minutes to reach the top. At the beginning, there are 120 steps. Please climb slowly. From there, the path becomes a gentle uphill climb. From the rest area at an altitude of 160m, you can get a panoramic view of Kyoto city, and on a clear day, you might even be able to see Kyoto Tower! Go and try to find it. Food is sold for 100 yen per bag!
Togetsukyo
Togetsukyo Bridge This bridge is called "Togetsukyo Bridge," which means "Bridge across the moon." It is said that long ago, when the emperor was boating on this river, he looked up at the bridge and saw the moon crossing the bridge as the boat moved forward. Since then, the bridge has been called "Bridge across the moon, Togetsukyo Bridge." The bridge is said to have been built between 834 and 848, and later came to be called "Togetsukyo Bridge" between 1259 and 1274. Togetsukyo Bridge, spanning the slowly flowing Oi River, exudes a simple and sturdy atmosphere and is truly spectacular. Pleasure boats and sightseeing boats are also operated, making it a popular tourist spot.
Tenryuji Tenryuji
Tenryu-ji Temple is a Zen temple in Arashiyama, Kyoto, the head temple of the Rinzai sect, famous for its beautiful gardens and ceiling paintings. In 1994, it was registered as a World Heritage Site along with Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Kinkaku-ji Temple, To-ji Temple, and Nijo Castle. First of all, there is the world-famous Sogenchi Garden. This garden is the first designated historic site and special place of scenic beauty by the country, and is a national treasure-like landscape with only 36 such places in the country.
Bamboo Grove
The Bamboo Grove Path is a recommended tourist spot in Kyoto. It is a bamboo forest path that stretches along the road for about 400 meters like a tunnel. During the Heian period, it flourished as a villa area for aristocrats, and there is no special entrance, so anyone can stroll through it. Admission is free. The lush bamboo forest throughout the year exudes a mysterious atmosphere, making you feel as if you have wandered into another world.

About Tour Guide Masa M.
My company is a tour operator in the Arashiyama area of Kyoto City. The owner is Masahiko Miyake. Arashiyama is a very attractive town. I was born and raised in Kyoto, and now I live in the Arashiyama area. Therefore, I have more knowledge and confidence about this area than most people. Arashiyama is home to the World Heritage Site Tenryu-ji Temple. This area was a villa district for aristocrats during the Heian period, so it features a beauty where nature and residences are integrated.
