Experience the very best of Kyoto in a single day, featuring the famous Arashiyama and Kiyomizu Temple areas.

09:00 AM

Meeting Point

Saga-Arashiyama Station(nearest station to Arashiyama)

09:20 AM

Arashiyama bamboo forest

10:00 AM

Daigo Temple

This temple was built about 700 years ago by Emperor Go-Daigo.

He was like the Donald Trump of his time—a bold leader who broke traditions with unconventional policies and established a whole new government in Japan. As we enjoy the beautiful temple and its gardens, I’ll tell you more about his colorful and rebellious life.

11:00 AM

Sweet and souvenir crawl in Arashiyama

Let’s explore some local Japanese sweet shops and souvenir stores in Arashiyama.

Actually, one of my relatives used to work at this particular sweet shop! I hope you truly enjoy these authentic Japanese flavors.

12:30 PM

Nishiki market

Next, we’ll leave Arashiyama and head toward downtown Kyoto.

01:30 PM

Ponto-cho Photo Op!

Ponto-cho is a very narrow alley, but it’s packed with quintessential Kyoto charm. It’s also a bit of a hidden gem with fewer tourists. Let’s snap some beautiful photos of the traditional streetscape!

02:00 PM

Exploring Tatsumi Bridge & Hanamikoji

Let’s take the scenic route through the quieter backstreets. We’ll soak in the timeless atmosphere of Kyoto’s traditional cityscape.

If we’re lucky, we might even spot a Maiko (apprentice Geisha) gracefully passing by!

02:40 PM

Yasaka Shrine

03:00 PM

Enjoy cherryblossoms

04:00 PM

About Tour Guide Atsushi T.

Hello, I’m Atsushi.

I grew up in Osaka, a city famous for its warm people, delicious food, and lively culture.

Until last month, I worked for five years as a softwear engineer. Now, I’ve shifted to what I truly enjoy—working closely with people. Alongside private tutoring and mental health counseling, I am excited to guide travelers through my home region.

“Make your once-in-a-lifetime trip to Japan even more unforgettable.”

That’s my mission as your guide.

With me, you can explore historic landmarks, or dive into the city’s soul through food—whether it’s a casual street-food crawl or hidden local favorites. Since I grew up here, I can take you beyond the usual tourist spots to restaurants and shops that locals actually return to again and again. I’d like to introduce a place that will make you want to come back.

On hot summer days, I’ll show you comfortable underground passages and indoor attractions. When the weather is just right, we can enjoy the city outdoors to the fullest.

Guests often say my tours feel like being guided by a friend who knows the city inside out—fun, relaxed, and authentic. I want you to experience Osaka not only as a visitor, but as someone who feels at home here.

And one more thing: 10% of my earnings are donated to organizations that support single-parent families (Save the Children).

Let’s make your Japan journey something truly special together!

Exceptional Osaka Guide – Atsushi T. is a True Gem for Families!

Our family of four (2 adults and 2 children, ages 12 & 15) had an absolutely fantastic 8-hour private tour of Osaka with Atsushi T. on April 3rd. From start to finish, he went above and beyond to ensure our "Japan Family Adventure" was memorable and stress-free. A Seamless and Personalized Experience: Atsushi met us exactly on time at Shin-Osaka Station. He followed our customized itinerary to a T, starting with a lovely drive along the Okawa River to Osaka Castle. He is a teacher by profession, and his ability to "gel" with our children was wonderful. While we felt he could perhaps brush up on a few more historical details, his overall helpfulness and kindness more than made up for it. Going Above and Beyond: What truly sets Atsushi apart is his dedication to his guests: Medical Assistance: When we needed an appointment with a Japanese doctor in Osaka, Atsushi was kind enough to coordinate and communicate with the hospital staff to secure one for us. He even followed up with us the next day to see how we were doing—a level of care that was truly touching. Shopping & Communication: He assisted us greatly with communication at "Regatta" (a Japanese shoe brand), making our shopping experience much smoother. Local Expertise: He took us through Korea Town, Shinsekai, and the vibrant Dotonbori area, where his knowledge of famous local foods was excellent. We ended our night at the Umeda Sky Building, which was an architectural marvel. Generosity and Professionalism:Atsushi ended up staying with us for an extra hour beyond the scheduled tour time, but he was not willing to charge us anything extra. He is a "gem of a person"—professional, incredibly helpful, and genuinely kind. We cannot recommend Atsushi T. highly enough for anyone visiting Osaka, especially families. He made our day in the city absolutely perfect!

Hello Thank you so much for your warm message. I also really enjoyed my time with your children, and I'm very glad to hear they had fun too! Arranging the medical appointment was an unexpected situation outside of my usual guide duties, but I am so glad I could help. It was truly rewarding for me. Helping people across borders is exactly what I have wanted to do since I was a child, so thank you for the opportunity. Regarding the historical explanations, I know I still have a lot to learn myself. I will keep studying and improving my skills as a guide! I hope we have the chance to meet again someday. Best regards, Atsushi T.
