Fushimi Inari Shrine
Fushimi Inari is one of the most iconic and visited shrines in Japan, known for its thousands of bright red torii gates that create a magical tunnel through the forested hillside.
The shrine is dedicated to Inari, the deity of rice, prosperity, and business success, and fox statues—believed to be Inari’s messengers—can be seen throughout the grounds.
We will walk up to the inner shrine, passing through the famous thousand gates and visit the popular “Omokaru Stone,” where you can try a simple fortune-telling ritual.
This is a perfect place to take photos and experience the spiritual side of Kyoto.
