“Mai is a Joy”
Mai is a knowledgeable, delightful, considerate guide. She contacted us before our scheduled day to confirm. We then planned a meeting place inside the large hotel. She reconfirmed the places we wanted to visit, and shared the schedule. She mentioned that we might not have time for something, and if we wanted to alter anything. She also mentioned stairs in consideration for what would work for us. Everywhere we went Mai knew the history and background. We asked a lot of questions about history, botany, tradition, all of which she answered with knowledge and clarity. In order to accommodate our requests, we were about 30 or more minutes late in returning and yet the cost remained as agreed upon. Mai's English was excellent and understandable. She also sent a video that we discussed, after we were dropped off. (a traditional dance) We were very happy to have spent the day with her. Thank you.

“Great day in Matsushima!”
Wonderful day with Mai. Friendly and helpful in all ways. Very knowledgeable about the Buddhist temples, took us to a great lunch restaurant, and took us on an entertaining boat tour on the bay islands. She also helped us with dinner reservations in Sendai. Would highly recommend her no matter what kind of tour.
