I would like to highly recommend Mai if you come to Sendai and don't know where to go or what to do. She is extremely knowledgeable not only about Sendai but about the Tohoku region and you can tell the passion she has for this area. Plus she is a great conversationalist so you'll have plenty to talk about.
Thank you so much Deniz-san. I appreciate you visiting Sendai during the pandemic. It was a fun time!! Actually I have many more things I want to brag about this area! Arigatou.
Mia was very friendly and spoke beautiful english. She took up to many very interesting places and had a very good knoledge of the area.
I had a thoroughly enjoyable time with Mai exploring a couple of areas around Sendai. We hit the Shiogama fish market, and Urakasumi sake brewery, then had a very nice sushi lunch and walked a bit in Sendai itself. Mai showed me some very nice places, pointed out interesting (and excellent) things to eat, and told me about life in Sendai in general from her personal perspective. Mai was very nice, professional, and personable. I had a great time and I thank her for it.
Our time with Mai was too short. She is very well versed in the history of the area as well a great insight into modern Japan. There is a whelth of information we never would have received we're it not for her knowledge. What enjoyed how the history of Matsushima has influenced Japan today - none of which we would have observed or understood with Mai. She picked out a very tasty lunch spot for us when we said we wanted to have seafood. The day felt personal due to her effort to cater to our interests. She even helped recommend some of her favorite local restaurants to try while we were in Sendai. We managed to fit a lot into our day: temples, boat tours, history museum, sake tasking, and local sweets. We finished out day with a traditional tea that came with an amazing view of Bay. We highly recommend Mai. She was a real treat to spend the day with.
Thank you very much!!! It was a great day for me too. As I told you, every guest is different and has different interests, that’s why no matter how many times I visited Matsushima, the scenery looks very different and I can get new insight. You both tried to understand japan very deeply. I’m happy you like japan. Thanks for the memorable day!!
