there are many attractive back alleys in Sendai. but this two alleys are one of the most interesting area in Sendai because atmosphere of old Japan remains here.
Nakano shrine
it's a good example that in japan you can find a shrine even in a downtown area.
Kokubuncho
this is the largest night entertainment area in Tohoku region.

Wonderful day with Mai. Friendly and helpful in all ways. Very knowledgeable about the Buddhist temples, took us to a great lunch restaurant, and took us on an entertaining boat tour on the bay islands. She also helped us with dinner reservations in Sendai. Would highly recommend her no matter what kind of tour.
