Mt. Fuji isn't always visible, especially when it's hazy. Please choose the spots in the highlights you would like to visit around Kawaguchiko/ Mt. Fuji, based on your interest/preferences, your physical condition and the weather. It depends on which ones you choose, but I'll do my best to arrange it the way you can visit more than three of them.
Check out what we are going to do.

At your hotel
You can take as much time as you want to take pictures, just relax and enjoy the view as far as we can make the bus or train back to Tokyo, instead of being rushed through like when you're in a package bus tour.
On visible days, we can enjoy the view of huge Mt. Fuji outdoors, and when we cannot have the view, we can enjoy art around the Lake Resort.
When the weather forecast won't be good enough, it's possible to change to other days if I'm available.
Flexibility is the greatest point of this tour. In case you're not departing from/returning to Tokyo, arrangements are possible.
Guiding fee, The Guide's Admission fee for Saiko Iyashinosato Nemba/ Kawaguchiko Music Forest Museum/Kubota Ichiku Museum
The Guide's Transportation fare for the Ropeway and the Lake Cruise
Transportation fare (You and guide: Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko Round trip by highway bus is ¥3500, by trains ¥8120 if Limited Expresses.)
If you'd like to visit several spots along the Lake, the Loop bus one day ticket ¥1500 might be convenient.)
There is a combination ticket for the Ropeway, Thirty Minute Lake Cruise & Loop Bus at the price of 2600 yen/Elementary School Student 1300 yen.)
Options:
meals
snacks

Admission fee of your options (Please look at the highlights for each price)
NOT ON WEEKENDS. I recommend a Tokyo tour for weekends.
CHECK THE WEATHER FORECAST of LAKE KAWAGUCHIKO AREA ONLINE, please.
Also could you check the live cameras I wrote in my blog.
I'll keep my fingers crossed, but you can NOT ALWAYS have the view of Mt. Fuji.
Also TRY TO AVOID WEEKENDS if you can unless you love to wait in lines. If you go to Meiji Jingu Shrine during the weekends, you might be able to see a traditional Japanese wedding, so switch your date of Tokyo Sightseeing to the weekend if you can.
We will have better chances if you stay till twilight at the Lake area, so I wish you wouldn't have dinner reservation or other reservations afterward.
Chuo Highway buses are less expensive and reasonable, basically punctual but sometimes might get jammed.
Some are fully booked up, so ADVANCE BOOKING IS NECESSARY.
I would call them and book them. At the vending machine, you could use your credit card if you know your four-digit PIN No.
It is impossible to go to all of the eight options in a day.
#1, Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nemba takes 40 minutes from Kawaguchiko Station and the bus comes only every 30 minute, so if you choose #1, we can only visit a few more spots.
#7, Kawaguchiko Music Forest Museum will be closed at 18:00.
WEARING WALKING SHOES/SNEAKERS are recommendable, whichever options you choose.
It's a little chilly during the Lake Cruise, you will appreciate a nice jacket to keep you warm.
We will basically use buses around Lake Kawaguchi unless you're willing to pay for cabs.
The loop buses run approximately every fifteen minutes.
If you hope the tour to start or end around Kawaguchiko/Fujisan area, I will send you a new itinerary after your inquiries, so please let me know.
It is possible, but it takes 80 minutes at least by local bus and not so many.
There is a highway bus from Shinjuku Bus Terminal to the Outlet, which takes 95 minutes.
Great day out visiting Mount Fuji. Yoko was very helpful with the booking and anticipating all needs prior to the tour. On the day, Yoko met us at the lobby of our hotel and off we went to see Mt Fuji! Great day with the weather on our side. Yoko was very knowledgable, thank you for sharing your experience with us! I was traveling with my 7 year old son, we both really enjoy the day out and everything went smoothly. If you want a personalised tour, go for it, it makes a huge difference with no hassle, great learning experience, worth everything. Yoko is very flexible. Merci beaucoup Yoko!
Ne de rien!! Thank you so much for such a great review, Sophie. The pleasure was mine that I could share the great view of Mount Fuji from Lake Kawaguchiko. I enjoyed the conversation with you a lot about France, UK and yourself even the temperature difference seemed to be quite tough for Rye. I hope you and Rye remember how to do the origami of Kabuto, the samurai helmet. I will practice the frog based on the site you told me. I hope you're enjoying Kyoto and please enjoy the rest of your stay. Merci beaucoup et à bientôt!!
Yoko was an excellent tour guide. She devised a tour with our interests as well as “must sees” as a newbie to Japan. Yoko is extremely organized and knowledgeable. Our time with her was well spent. We learned a lot and would definitely recommend Yoko for an enjoyable tour of Tokyo.
Thank you for a wonderful review. I had a great day with both of you. When I see works of Yayoi Kusama, I will remember you and the wonderful conversations we had that day. Nikko is also an amazing place to visit for an art fan like you, so please come again. Thank you again!!
As stated in earlier review. Perfect guide for perfect trip
Thank you so much for your review, Mr. McGuire. It was a great pleasure for me to guide you, Kelly, Kirsten and Jordan, Tokyo, Nikko and Lake Kawaguchiko. All of you were so intelligent, beautiful and so sweet, so I had a great time during the three days. I'll be looking forward to seeing you coming back with them or your other grandchildren. Please take care till then. Thank you again for the wonderful days!!
We had a good day with Yoko exploring all aspects of our local surroundings as per an itinerary we had designed. The day was cold and eventually wet, but we continued through our itinerary despite the elements. It was a long day but we managed to see everything that we had set out to see and explore. Yoko was very knowledgeable and was able to provide the context details that made the journey more interesting.
Thank you very much for your review. It was too bad it started to rain but we dropped by to get umbrellas even though some of you didn't like to use them. I hope you could find something interesting at Sekaido and enjoyed your stay in Japan. Sakura (Cherry blossoms) are very beautiful in Spring, so please come to see them in the future. Please take care!!
