Rinnoji Temple

One of Nikko’s most important Buddhist temples, with a history of more than 1,200 years. It’s a great place to learn about Nikko’s religious history.

Nikko Toshogu Shrine

Nikko’s most famous World Heritage site, dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Tokugawa shogunate. See the beautiful Yomeimon Gate, the Three Wise Monkeys, and many impressive carvings.

A historic Shinto shrine surrounded by beautiful cedar trees. It has been an important center of mountain worship in Nikko for centuries.

Roadside Station Nikko

Michi-no-Eki Nikko is a great place to discover and purchase local specialties and souvenirs from the Nikko area. The shop offers a wide selection of locally made products, including traditional sweets, snacks, local sake, and regional foods.
