About Tour Guide Miki K.
Hello! I’m Miki, a local English-speaking guide born and raised in Nikko.
I believe the most memorable journeys aren’t defined by how many famous places you visit, but by the people you meet, the stories you hear, and the atmosphere you experience along the way.
Having traveled to more than 20 countries myself, I’ve always been drawn to experiences that reveal the true heart of a place rather than simply its highlights. Those journeys have shaped the way I guide today.
When I’m not guiding around Nikko, you’ll often find me in kimono, working as one of the townspeople at Edo Wonderland. It gives me a unique perspective on the history, culture, and everyday life of the Edo period—one that I love sharing with my guests.
I’d love to help you discover a different side of Nikko and create a journey that reflects your interests, curiosity, and travel style.
My goal is simple: to help you experience Japan through its stories, its people, and the moments that make a journey truly unforgettable.
I hope that you’ll leave feeling not like you simply visited Nikko, but like you truly connected with its spirit and became part of its story, even just for a day.
