Walking tour around Shuri castle and Makishi public market

We visit Shuri castle inside, Shurei gate, little forest, and a panorama view, We go together to Makishi public market. You can eat dinner there. Also, you walk around machiguwa ( little down town) with a guide. You will have a chance to talk to Okinawan people who work at the market.

Okinawa has unique culture, they mixed Japanese and Chinese way, then, built up a new own culture. With limited time, I hope you enjoy seeing a lot and knowing a lot.

“A very interesting and informative tour”
We had a lovely Sunday tour with Noriko. She arrived at our hotel promptly and took us in her vehicle to the Peace Memorial, Haebaru Village Museum, the former Japanese Underground and Hacksaw Ridge. Noriko was a wealth of information and we understood her perfectly. Definitely recommend this tour and guide.

“Noriko should be a psychologist!”
Had a wonderful day with Noriko’s expertise. The day was deliberately unstructured and started with a weighty visit to Peace Park — the tone for me was similar to visiting Gettysburg. Noriko patiently engaged me and realized I was most interested in areas of the Island I was once stationed at some 3+ decades ago. At that point, our tour changed to one of a guide taking me back to my old haunts and allowing me to linger. She gave me space to take it all in. Her probing questions uncovered areas of my interest we visited that I did not anticipate.
