“Custom Tour for Kobe Family History Visit”

We contacted Kaori months before our planned visit, in which two sisters born in Kobe during WWII were returning for the first time in 80 years. She understood the importance to our family of getting this right. So she contacted the Director of the museum that currently occupies our former family home in preparation for our arrival, researched the location of the former German hospital where they were born and of the buying office that our father had owned downtown, and reserved the van for 7 passengers that would ferry us from Osaka and around Kobe. During our actual visit she served as interpreter, including with a local journalist who wanted to report on the event, assisted us in attempting to find documentation at the municipal office, and steered us to a Kobe steak house for an unforgettable lunch. Following our time in Kobe she added interesting stops in Osaka, including helping me buy gifts at the Pokeman Center. I cannot say enough about Kaori’s ability to meet all our requirements and expectations. She truly knows her stuff, has an excellent command English and ensured we had a memorable once in a lifetime experience.

“Amazing Introduction to Osaka!”

Having just arrived in the country the night before from the UK I was unsure whether my body would be in the correct time zone to be able to be up and exploring, but I needn't have worried. Kaori met me at my hotel and it soon felt like travelling around with a very knowledgable friend. Kaori had already taken my list of places I was interested in seeing that day and turned it into a coherent itinerary, but with it being a holiday, there were certain parts of the city that were super busy, and we were able to navigate them elegantly and seeing as we made good time. We even managed to fit in a couple of the places I'd pencilled in for the next day, made all the better for her guidance. We even managed to fit in some okonomiyaki for lunch and a stop at a lovely little bar towards the end of the day, both of which I'd have never found in a month of Sundays on my own. I can heartily recommend Kaori to anyone looking for a guide in the Osaka area, and if I'm back in the area again in the future I'd gladly be guided by her again.

“Wonderful Experience with Kaori K. in Kyoto!”

My teen and I had the most amazing experience being guided through Kyoto by Kaori. She knew so much about the areas, temples, shrines and neighborhoods we visited. She was very flexible and always asked our interests before moving to the next landmark or restaurant. Kaori’s English is excellent and she also provided advice on things to do when our time with her came to an end. She has a wonderful sense of humor and it really feels like you’re being shown around by a dear friend. Both my child and I loved Kaori and if you have the opportunity to book with her do it! We were so lucky to have experienced Kyoto with Kaori.
